That really how it is with today's youth? I say youth. Could've been a well sheltered adult. Bit concerned all the same. Did appreciate the first person's dramatic sigh that ensued. Bit worried about where that friendship stands.

Not that I'm tempted by the offer, but do we actually think the Witch can send people back to their home worlds?

It's been a while since I read the books, but I remember that she managed to send Aslan out of Narnia for a long time. I don't remember if they ever said where she sent him, though. I expect we'd be easier to banish from this world, seeing as we're not Aslan, but possibly harder, too, because this world isn't Narnia. I've noticed that people's magical powers haven't always worked properly here.

Bit of a buzzkill that witch, isn't she? Fascinating though! Don't often see a promise of going home wrapped in a promise of destruction, dodgy practice, that! Suppose, if wanted, I could throw my hat into the ring of finding her. Did get a brand new toy and all, might help. Might not. Who knows? Won't be sitting around twiddling my thumbs while someone wants to hurt the lot of you, least of all when I've got my coat back.

Jack's gone. I'm fine, you don't need to apologise. I hadn't expected to see him again in the first place.

Singles' Night was fun, but I wouldn't say it got the job done. Too much happening at once, and then we all drank too much and danced too long. I've been sore since Saturday.

Wonderful people of Mount Weather! With your holiday of love coming up, we at The Rose thought it may be nice to host all the single people the night before. It must be obnoxious to watch the rest of us just now, so February 13th is officially Singles' Night at The Rose. Come to meet other single people, or just get drunk and complain about everyone else.

The rest of you can just go have sex or something, and then come back on the 14th.

( It’s hard to remember to take care of -yourself- when you’re caught up in exploring and saving all of time and space. Or maybe it’s just me that hasn’t ever been able to figure that out. )

I know we have movies on Saturday nights, but since there's quite a lot of people here who came from similar worlds at a similar time there are some movies we all grew up knowing very, very well. Daisy's post was a reference to one of those, The Princess Bride, which I'd like to show tomorrow night. There should be room to one end of the 501 commons so we won't need to clear the mess hall. If needs be I can set up an extra monitor or two and sync the video.

(Parents: The Princess Bride is child-friendly down to about maybe 8 or 10?)

If there's enough interest I found a few more movies from around the same time that we could watch on future nights - including Labyrinth, The Never-Ending Story, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Gremlins, Teen Wolf, The Lost Boys, and the movie version of the community theatre club's upcoming show, Little Shop of Horrors. I could probably arrange to play that one just before auditions open.

Blink and you miss it. I'd tell you all not to blink at all, but that advice is better served for another sort of confounding complication.

I'm sorry to those of you who have lost someone. Anything I can do? Apart from breaking more laws in time and space to get them back? I'm in no hurry to do that.

Dunno what you did, or how, but you saved my life. Can't reckon how someone fixes a soul, or even what that is, but you did it.

It's official: everyone in quarantine is healthy, and free to go. We haven't brought any of that plague back with us, so I think we can call this trip a success!

Right. Not where I expected to end up, but I'm glad to see the Earth's survived to 2150. And I don't see any strange planets in the sky. At least we're in the right place in the solar system. No sign of Daleks so far, that's a very good thing. We must've done something right back in 2008. Or, somebody else must have. Not sure I was around in this universe - and I'll admit that's a sentence I wasn't expecting to say anytime soon.

I'm Doctor Martha Jones, I'll be helping out in medical. And I've heard there are people I know here - Doctor? Jack? Donna? Are you on this network, or do I have to come looking for you?

THE TROUBLED:

Now that I'm put back together with Mara, I have the ability to change your Troubles. I can't get rid of them completely — at least not yet — but I can change them into something more manageable. And I'm immune to them again, so if you panic, you won't have to feel guilty about affecting me.
