This is so exciting! I really miss Hugo already so much it actually hurts (I was told he's not here?), but this is going to be an exciting adventure! I've always wanted to have one of those. Suuuure, things don't sound super great here. Something about some bloody maries and a werewolf war? (Whaaaaaatttt?) BUT BUT BUT BUT MY POP-POP AND NANA ARE HERE. THE ONE'S I'VE NEVER MET! Aaahhh!

So, after everything that's happened and given the sheer quantities of snow we have around here, I propose:

A SNOWSCULPTURE CONTEST

Tomorrow [Sunday, Jan 3] seems as good a day as any. Everyone's welcome to participate and I was thinking of a space theme, mostly because I want to see everyone build a snow model of their spacecraft/ship if they have one. But, this isn't a hard and fast theme. Just guidelines. Basically, an invitation for everyone to come out and have fun. If I can swing it, there may even be prizes.

So, who's in?

Luna and I are working on something to keep track of everyone. We'll probably keep it simple, so it will show "In Mount Weather", "Outside the Mountain", and "No Longer Here".

We would very much like everyone's cooperation in getting it done. As we will need your presence so we can charm it properly.

And, once it's done, hopefully it will relieve the stress when we can't find someone. Or at least give us some certainty.

So, there's a new year coming and that's really weird, because it wasn't this close from whence I came. But, I'm adjusting and not as starstruck. ..That's not true, I'm still starstruck. In fact, I've made a brand new autograph book to make up for not having my old one that's ready for signatures from every hero I've ever had in the White House.

I've veered off subject, I'm sorry. So, my resolution is to be more open, and by that I mean... Accepting of this place and where I stand in it. I'm Leslie Knope, I don't stay down for long. I can't.

My second resolution is to get every possible Harry Potter-related person's autograph, because you're all amazing and heroes and I love you. I'm not weird. You're weird. No. You're not weird. You're wonderfully real people that I admire a lot.

Is it strange that I didn't even notice the so-called truth spell until nearly a day into it? I'm not sure if it means I'm an exceptionally honest person, or just exceptionally unobservant. It did take me a long time to figure out I'd become Troubled.

At any rate, I'm glad things are back to normal. Honesty may be the best policy, but only when it's intentional. I suppose you could say that intentionality is the best policy, really. Now there's a great thought to take into the new year. My meditation teacher back in Indianapolis would be so proud.

As much as I miss space, I really am glad I'm getting the chance to work with plants. It's always been a hobby and now I get to do it every day. Can't beat that.

Well, Christmas happened, and we all got through it. Well done. Although I wonder if we wouldn't be better off to celebrate a different holiday at this time next year. Maybe not something for the Podsayer, but a general thanks for the people we have here, and for the shelter we have and the fact that we do have food, clothing, and loved ones surrounding us, even if they're new to us. Americans had their Thanksgiving, and maybe we should to, at Winter Solstice.

It is easy to refrain from speaking truths that are forced from one, when one buries himself in work. I thank all who did not seek me out during this time.

I love Clarke. There. I said it. I've never said that about someone before.

I thought saying it was supposed to feel better than this, but I just feel like an idiot.

I don't mind Jim's need for public affection as much as I should. I am concerned that makes me more human than Vulcan. And that my father would be disappointed in that.


And I miss Vulcan. I do not understand why it needed to be destroyed. Logically, it was inevitable. But these emotions are... foreign to me.


And my moth I should very much like to return to the Enterprise now.

It wasn't until I actually lived with people who can see the dead and are, moreover, really okay about it that I wanted to tell you I almost got put in the hospital for talking to my dead CO. I loved him. I love him still. He died saving me and I miss him every time I hear Clair de Lune. He would hate that.

And, you know, I'm very sure and very aware of the cliche nature of what I just imparted.

I suppose this is as good as a next adventure as any, though I wouldn't have minded just a bit more time to enjoy the Shire before being brought here. Living underground is quite interesting, as well.

Guess it wouldn't be proper to not introduce myself now, would it? I'm Bilbo. Bilbo Baggins, of the Shire. I know at least one of my roommates, it seems. Is anyone else here who knows me? Gandalf, by chance? I daresay I only brought enough pipe weed to last a month. Goodness knows what I'll do if I run out.

A certain toddler got hold of my wand this morning -- my actual wand, you perverts, not the one that Ginny likes -- and then proceeded to cast his first spell. Naturally it was one that showered glitter every-bloody-where, so to the laundry folks, I'm sorry. I'm really really sorry. I'm also sorry that I seem to be spreading it wherever I go.

Right. Not where I expected to end up, but I'm glad to see the Earth's survived to 2150. And I don't see any strange planets in the sky. At least we're in the right place in the solar system. No sign of Daleks so far, that's a very good thing. We must've done something right back in 2008. Or, somebody else must have. Not sure I was around in this universe - and I'll admit that's a sentence I wasn't expecting to say anytime soon.

What do you say we do something as a family? Go for a walk? Eat food? Hunt for stone animals? I don't know. I need to get out of this bunker where all of the rats live.

If only every time I wake from a deep sleep, I could have a beautiful redhead standing over me, smiling fondly. It's been quite an interesting evening, I must say. Although I have no memory of it, I'm told I was here before, but for those of you who don't know me, I'm Charles Xavier. Erik, Raven, I'm told you're here, but I'm afraid that my legs have forgotten how to do their job properly, so you'll have to come to me. If you're so inclined, that is.

We have a lot of people here who like to sing, and who can sing. Anyone want to join me in putting on an informal holiday concert closer to Christmas? Nothing too big or fancy, just people singing together to entertain everyone else. If nothing else, we can go caroling once a week and put some holiday spirit into the place.
