With the absence of Lily, there's no official Life Support meeting scheduled for tonight, but I'd be happy to convene the group if people would find it helpful. Or perhaps a broader support group as we all continue to adjust.

Attn: Mount Weather. It's my six month anniversary. I realize I'm not the chummiest of guys, but that's because a) I was raised by my butler and b) I'm still waiting for one of you to try to kill me. However, let us raise our glasses and lower our standards, for tonight I celebrate losing my sunny, generally radiation-less retirement and gaining one hell of a... whatever this is.

We have all suffered great losses in this exodus, and I won't pretend that we're not still reeling from it. I wish that I could say that it gets easier. I wish I could say that the pain will end some day, but that would be a lie. It comes and goes in storms, in waves that sometimes threaten to swallow you whole. Then you'll find some peace when the storm is over. You're still in the ocean, however, and a storm will come back. They always do, except you know that you can survive them. You can prepare for them.

I'd like to take a moment of silence for those we have lost in this recent exodus and remember how much they were a part of us. I will do my utmost to preserve the new traditions and laws that we have established here and hope that I continue Councilors Steve Rogers's and Asala Adaar's legacy with respect and dignity. I am only your voice, and as such, my ears and heart are open to your needs.

I'm going to take Bravo squad south for looking about - just so we don't overlap if we can keep from it.

God you people are saps. Why can't we just say "let's go kick some ass" and be done with it? Jeez.

[Military]
I've done a quick and dirty map program that runs on the tablets to keep track of where everyone is, since we only have a very few telepaths. Eight different coloured markers that can be dragged around to represent different types of unit, black borders are the enemy, white borders are ours. Shapes to represent numbers (circle - triangle - square - star - increasing numbers of sides, someone who can actually see what's out there can figure out roughly how many each should mean). You can double tap on a marker to put a flag on it with extra information if necessary. They should all sync to each other when information changes but there might be a bit of a lag, maybe thirty seconds? And anyone ranked at least Major General has an extra button up the top that will let them block people from making changes if that becomes necessary for any reason.

Let me know if there are any bugs or it needs extra features or even if it isn't suited at all.

Last weekend I got something very special in the Pod drop. At least it's very special to me. I got a blanket Yes, that is actually a picture of me. I also got some holos from home including some of Ben as a newborn which I appreciated since I wasn't there when he was born. Well I was and I'm in the holos which is strange since I'm also here but regardless, back to the blanket.

When I was a kid, Aunt Beru used to let me play with it. She told me that when I came to live with them, that was wrapped around me and someday she'd give it to me so that I could wrap my own children in it. I wasn't really that interested in that part at the time because I was probably around seven and what seven year old boy wants to think about being a father? I forgot about it when I got older even though it was still there but it never really hit me that it was anything special. Not until I was older and I knew that I'd never see it again because it was destroyed along with everything else when the Empire burned my aunt and uncle's home.

The so called Pod God proved me wrong though. It showed up along with some other things and I was happy to see it. It's the only thing I have of my birth mother's, she touched it and held me in it even though I don't remember, even if she barely got the chance to hold Leia and me before she died. Now I can share it with Ben. Like me, he has no clue what it means but someday he will. Someday he'll have a little piece of my history to pass on to his children. I'm glad that I have the chance to give it to him.

ALPHA SCOUT TEAM:

Listen up. Bravo Team is out for at least the weekend. We'll be taking Bravo's duties for the duration of their quarantine, which means we'll have little downtime this weekend. Get with me for your assignments. We'll be accompanying the hunters, gatherers, and fishers.

SOLOS & SKYWALKERS:

Han and I are going to be on double-duty this weekend. Hold down the fort.

Jim Kirk was admitted to medical with an infected wound, after an examination with Nurse Chapel. We're still attempting to isolate exactly what it is, but it's a nasty bugger. The things we know so far is that it's quickly spread and it's not responding to traditional antibiotics or magic.

As such, we've placed Mr. Kirk under a temporary quarantine here at the hospital, along with those he lives with. We very much apologize for any inconveniences this might cause, but I promise you we're going to attempt to make it as quick and painless as possible, it's only until we isolate the infection and figure out how contagious it is.

Better to be safe than sorry, I'm afraid. We'll be working overtime to come up with a treatment and cure, and monitoring anyone else that might have come in contact with Mr. Kirk. Bravo Squadron, please come to medical today for a full checkup. I don't want to have to hunt you down, but I will if I don't hear from you by noon. We don't believe it's that far spread, but as I said - better to be safe than sorry.

I plan on releasing a public statement when we know more of the symptoms, to follow up on this. If you're head of anyone in the military that receives a wound, please make sure they receive proper medical care. Any wound at all, even a small one. If anyone under your command becomes feverish or develops a rash, send them to us immediately.
