I don't know how compatible everyone's magic is here, but I've read back over some of the discussions people have had about different magical abilities. Is there some kind of class we can open up to teach other people here about our magic and what it does? Normally, I'm one to keep the balance between things. Just trying to avoid any unnecessary surprises, especially considering where I was before I showed up here.

My tablet has been chiming at me almost nonstop all day, and my hands were too dirty to try and get to it. Farming and touchscreens don't mix well, in case anyone is curious. Some kind of hallucinations going around, if I'm skimming well enough? I may well be with that Lincoln fellow, maybe this place is cursed.

I don't seem to be affected, and I'm afraid I'm at a loss at how to help. Give me something I can help against, and If there's a team that could use an extra hand, count me in.

Hi, I'm Clark. Dr. Chakrabarti and Rory in Medical have told me there's no point in trying to downplay my other identity. My parents named me Kal-El, and the Daily Planet has given me the nickname of Superman. This is apparently very well known here, so I apologize for the subterfuge - the intake staff have been very helpful, I'm sorry I didn't catch any names. I'm not used to being nearly comatose.

This is quite a lot to take in. The world has suffered so much. Did I fail to protect it? Or is this really and truly not the same world I grew up in? Part of me wants to go to Kansas and see if there's anything left. It seems working for the Planet has gotten me in the habit of writing out my thoughts. Sorry for the rambling. If you'll excuse me, I need to find Lois. I was told she was here, too. Thank you for making me feel welcome and not wanting to run experiments. It means a lot.

Suppose we should do the obligatory introductions and cross-reference skills. It'll help with strategy in the long run to know a bit about each other and how we all work.

For those who don't know me yet, I'm Alastor Moody. I come from a world where the use of magic is normal, though we also run parallel to a non-magical community. I was less familiar with that world than I am now due to my experience here. As I understand it, magic in each world does not function the same, so for reference, back home we channeled most spells verbally and through wands. The higher the skill, the more non-verbal and wandless magic you can potentially perform. I arrived here from the middle of a war, where I served the government as something called an Auror, or magical law enforcement. Law enforcement is in the family, so it's as much a legacy as a passion.

I'm open for questions and anything else that might be needed, and if I can't answer or help you, I'll make damn sure I can find someone who can. But for now, I'd like to know more about you all.

We're going to have a situation on our hands. On my round I found a victim of the Dementor's Kiss. I'm waiting on confirmation from the Healers that are on staff in Medical, but I can say with confidence that's what we're looking at. Right now I'm at 405, just outside the kitchen warehouse. I'll leave it to you, how you want to handle it publicly.

Stay vigilant and start practicing patronus charms with each other as often as possible. Per Tonk's post, Potter was volunteered for teaching, and that Vance, McGonagall, Lupin and myself are all available for instruction as well. We're lucky there are so many of us here, but that won't mean anything if we're not prepared.

Look, I didn't want to say until the muggle doctors had ruled out any non magical cause. But a day or so ago a man was brought in, cold, staring, scared. No one knew what was wrong but, well, something crossed my mind. With warmth and a bit of chocolate he seemed fine eventually

Later another man same condition, only he didn't wake. He's still just frozen, staring, look of terror on his face.

Merlin, I hope I'm wrong. But there are places still cold. I wanted...I wondered if some of you with more experiance of the things could come and see what you thought of the area before I bring this to the leadership?

When November starts, my mother and grandmother always started the Christmas cooking. Even during the war, they started so early, and we always had a soldier or two or three at our table on Christmas -- boys from the base who weren't able to go home. Last Christmas was strange, though. We had a full table, but so many were missing. I can't even imagine what it'll be like here.

So I found a book today. I remember when I was a kid us girls were always trying to do these games to figure out who we were going to marry and it was always the best fun, especially at sleepovers. This book has some "spells" in it, and one of them says that you can divine who your true love is. So what do you say? Girls night, where we see who our true love is? I think we're overdue.

I don't like asking for help, but Lirael's magic didn't get the Mark of Cain off of me, so I'm opening it up. Anyone good with curse-breaking, you're invited to poke at my arm and see if you can't get it off. It's old, old Biblical magic meant to lock away a primordial pre-Biblical force, but Heaven and Hell don't seem to exist here, so taking it off probably won't break anything.

I think I smacked into whatever portal's been dropping us into this reality when I was exorcised. An exorcism is like a forceful launch down into Hell; Hell must not exist here, because I got catapulted up into the sky instead and hit some kind of barrier like a train. I didn't get a good look because I was hurling toward it by force, but something was up there to run into. Don't know. I know I never want to do that again. Worst vertigo of my life.
