The 100; a panfandom game

It is easy to refrain from speaking truths that are forced from one, when one buries himself in work. I thank all who did not seek me out during this time.

This is all very unsettling, is it not? I have not experienced anything like this before. Which now I am grateful for it. I've always valued truth, but it's foolish to think there are no secrets between people, friends or family. Where would I be had I been truthful about my fear of ruling? I believe there may be some truths that are better left unsaid.

I suppose this is as good as a next adventure as any, though I wouldn't have minded just a bit more time to enjoy the Shire before being brought here. Living underground is quite interesting, as well.

Guess it wouldn't be proper to not introduce myself now, would it? I'm Bilbo. Bilbo Baggins, of the Shire. I know at least one of my roommates, it seems. Is anyone else here who knows me? Gandalf, by chance? I daresay I only brought enough pipe weed to last a month. Goodness knows what I'll do if I run out.

I am told that this is not my first time here, and that it is not unusual for those that return to not remember their time here at all. I am still reeling from the welcome I received, as one does not expect to be attacked by women of glass, nor to discover that one's weapon can provide means for them to multiply. I am, however, pleased to have been of service and to help in some small way.

To those of you who had no chance to meet me in my prior visits, I am Thorin Oakenshield. To those of you who knew me before, please make yourselves known to me, that we may rekindle friendships.

People of Mount Weather! I require your aid!

And by I, I mean we, and by we, I mean the management of your local tavern. Bar or pub, some of you call it. The place where you drink alcohol. Where I am drinking alcohol right now, actually.

Here is how you can help: the place needs a name. Alistair and Peter and I have bounced around a dozen different things, but nothing sticks so far. Give us some ideas, if you would?

With everyone on edge, I thought it might be a good idea to enact an event that Jacob and I have back home, in London. We call them Fight Clubs, and they are essentially just as they sound - a way to unlock your inner pugilist. Prize fighting, with your fists. No weapons, no other powers or anything besides you and your opponent in a ring, punching the living daylights out of each other. You fight until you or your opponent is on the ground, not to the death and taking care to not cause any permanent damage - especially given medicine is rationed. It's not for beginners, mind you, but should you have skills in fisticuffs, we welcome you to join us.

I'll be giving a demonstration tomorrow evening, in the gym. 7pm. Should you wish to also participate in the trial run, I welcome a challenge. And you can also go up against my brother, he's quite fun to smack about. But following this, we'll make it a more official thing, say once a month? For bragging rights, given that money is rather useless here.

My apologies if this has been talked about before, I'm afraid I'm still not used to this device and I don't always think to check it. My work keeps me busy, which I am grateful for. I forget how important it is to be social.

My question is about the holidays of this season. I've heard many different names, but I would like to know about these celebrations.

I've spoken to Lily Potter about a group that meets for people who learn of their death. I'd like to see it for myself, will you join me?

Since Jessica Moore disappeared, I'm going to take over the Sunday Life Support meetings. Anyone who died back home or knows they're facing it soon is welcome to come; it's just informal group therapy, and you can talk or not talk as much as you want. I bring snacks when rations allow for it.

The novel known as The Hobbit, where might I find a copy? While I've discussed some of it's information with my uncle, I think I would like to read it for myself.

TOOL MAKERS, BLACKSMITHS, ENGINEERS (all), JACOB FRYE:

Greetings, I am not sure if I've previously spoken to any of you, but I am Evie Frye. My brother and I arrived this week, and with us came our assorted weaponry. A few of our items are one-time-use sorts, and I was curious if anyone would like to take a look to see if they could be replicated in this world, and would perhaps be useful to others in general in return.

Should you be interested, we have various bombs created (and improved) by Alexander Graham Bell, one being a smoke bomb and the other is called a "voltaic bomb", which stuns enemies for a short period of time. We also have hallucinogenic darts, which causes a person to lose control and attack those around them. They are very strictly monitored and I wouldn't allow just anyone to use them, of course, since the last thing any of us would want is for innocent people to be hurt. But they are useful in certain situations.

Given recent events, these pods with gifts, and my uncle being returned to his fate, I find myself growing more and more curious about this place.

I am sure there are people working tirelessly on finding these answers and more. Should you need any assistance, I offer my services.


Off the current topic, that was a lovely festival. Thank you to everyone that put it all together, and made it happen.

My uncle is gone.

I know many of you know our story, so you would know his fate, as well as the fates of both myself and my brother. Grieve for his absence if you wish, as I will for the rest of my days, however many that may be, but do not feel sad for us. He is where he should be, and we will see him again one day.

I behaved very badly towards the two of you yesterday, and I'm very sorry. It has been a lifelong besetting sin that along with my red hair, I have a temper to go with it, and I unfairly unleashed it on you both. You were blameless, and I apologize. I also want you to know that when Smaug came to visit me later, I scolded him very properly for his post and the taunting that he subjected you to. Again, I am very, deeply sorry, and I beg your forgiveness.

This place is beginning to reek of dwarves. How many are there now?

It's really easy for time to get away from me here. In any case, we've been in possession of materials that have been helping in our efforts to build the experimental housing outside. Thanks to everyone who's helping out with that, because it means that our goal of getting this done before the winter weather starts might just happen. Our goal is to have it all finished by the end of November at the LATEST, with the actual deadline around November 15. So while we've come a long way, we have a lot to do.

If you can handle a hammer or a saw, can hold things level long enough for someone else to secure it, or are in any position to volunteer, then we're calling on you. We need bodies right now, and I'm told that there are a few other projects that can be put off until we can get this done.

And I just got word that those of you who are helping with this will get that extra dose of protein at mealtime. We don't want any of you falling down sick because you're not getting enough nutrition to go along with the extra amount of work you're doing.

I have talked them into allowing meThe doctors have cleared me for 'light duty', whatever that is.
