There's been lots of talk of settlements and Magnus was wondering about the possibility of just sleeping outside. Continuing on all that, I don't know who is thinking of going where with these settlements. I don't really have a problem with the mountain, but hey, that'd be me being weird.

That being said, I wanted to test the waters of maybe starting up a camp here. There's plenty of space here, even with the settlements expanding out. We all know we can handle ourselves and any possible danger on our own. And, I don't know, maybe if we're really homesick, we can expand on growing strawberries or other food. Do we know if the seeds in the Cornucopia's food are bad too?

Anyways, thoughts? I know there's going to be a ton of paperwork to go through to probably do this, so I figured getting the yays and nays first would save us all some time.

Sooo, I think we can all agree that communications is less than optimal in a world like this. People are at Polis right now and we can't talk to them given how far away they are. Walkie-talkies which are so old are incredibly limited and I can't even get them to sync up with our omni-tools.

I have hundreds of blueprints and I can turn anything into a communication device with scrap metal, tape and wiring, so I'd like to see if we can do a few salvaging runs and work on building communication towers? We have a lot of people who can fly and teleport to do drop-off installs, and setting up wireless beacons with a transponder could be possible?

Anyone else familiar with communications enough to help me? With enough brains and tequila, we can do anything!

Religion fascinates, tickles the mind, and drives people to unwitting names in the name of the unseen. I have, myself, never seen its forest for its dense trees. In my experience, it has been a gentle lullaby to soothe a fitful child or a pat on the head of a mutt for a job well done. You believed, now here is your treat: faith. It is a muddling trait of humanity, is it not? Mankind overall markets itself as supreme while still boasting countless millions that bow before some invisible eye in the sky, whether Pod God or smiling idol.

It is tempting to believe in some Pod God, I suppose. As I've read, pods arrive with gifts inside to varying degrees of use or nostalgia. I confess it is also tempting to want to be a part of that scene to be held at the 'sacred tree,' not as a participant, but rather as a bemused spectator.

I've found I believe in very little, a handful of people perhaps, nothing more. In the absence of them, I would not then find comfort in any sort of faith, only a sense of having been alienated by it.

Troubling how an entertaining slice of insanity can spark such lonely drivel.

If anyone would like extra practice for Weapons Club on Wednesday, I'll be in the gym. Quite a bit of effort has been put into preparing for it, and I believe it will be enjoyable for everyone.

I still have a great deal of catching up to do, on history, on this place, the people, the.. communities that have grown and fostered and died since the world went arse up, but I refuse to let myself get lost in books before I make proper introductions. I'm Evy O'Connell, my husband introduced himself a few days ago but then it was simply "You can call me Rick and I probably won't shoot you".

I'm to be a Mapmaker, but I have to ask; is there still any love for Archaeology and history this far in the future? Survival comes first, obviously, but- Well, admittedly it's my great love and I don't think anything can truly tear me away from it, even here.

Sooo...I got eliminated in the first round at Fight Club. Not my best performance but Matt Murdock, I have to hand it you...you're amazing. I'd love to learn some of those moves.

Hopefully I'll do better with the weapons fighting. I tend to be better with a dagger anyway.

First off, welcome back.

Second, I'm getting nervous. With all this talk of consequences and radiation.. I mean, we don't know if our powers will work like they should. Some do, some don't. I think I've been lucky so far, the healing, the seasons, Jack - it's all worked like it should mostly.

But what happens if the next time I try to heal someone, I kill them? Or if the next time I tell Jack to attack the enemies in battle, he ends up attacking us instead?

I don't know how the Greek & Roman stuff works, but I know that mine is Aesir magic, which is different than Sam's abilities. But then with some of the stuff, I don't know how to not-use them. I mean, I can't not be an einherjar.

2001: A Space Odyssey tonight, who wants to go? With everything that's been going on, I think we could all use a little time to just relax, you know?

Feels like I broke a mirror or walked under a ladder or something and forgot about it, I haven't seen anything bigger than a porcupine in two days. Does anyone know if you can even eat porcupine? I really just miss Artemis. She'd probably find some massive silver stag that would have us in meat for at least a month.
