Hello!

I'm going to be taking a brief sojourn to UMCB, leaving on the 4th. My intention isn't to be gone very long, but any appointments between the 4th and the 7th will be rescheduled -- I'll do my best to keep times and days consistent!

If someone would be willing to check in on my pets during my absence, I'd appreciate it. They aren't complicated, but I do have clutch of newborns that recently hatched. I can be available tomorrow between noon to three in order to go over care instructions.

Listen, I know that nobody is looking at the UMCB as a potential time share right now, with good reason. That being said, I'm just coming on here to urge all of you not to be extra dense in terms of your health these days. Sure, maybe now isn't the best time to stop by and pick up some cough drops or get your prostate checked. But if you're really sick or are hurt, please do not stay away. Do not get your buddy to try and stitch you up because he got an B+ in Home Ec. There is only one sick fuck here looking to hurt someone and about a thousand others looking to help you out.

So don't be a dumb ass. Use your best judgement. And above all, be safe. Good rule of thumb is if something that was once attached to you is looking like it's going to fall off, it might be time to do something about it.

So, I've had a half dozen sofas pulled out of storage, and I happen to have located a tub of popcorn kernels and a copy of The Great Escape.

Charlie and I will be in the T.G. Frost Capitol Theatre at 8pm tonight for a showing of our benefactor's favorite movie, for anybody who is able and interested. The popcorn won't have butter, alas, but I'll find something to make that less sad...



(And before anybody tries to give the 'blah de blah apocalypse, blah de blah people are suffering' spiel - if people can take an hour out of their day for sex or wash or self-reproach proselytization, I can take a couple out of mine to watch a movie.)

Good afternoon, Austinites!

Due to the unsettling nature of the recent forecast, I will be extending my office hours and available appointment times through the weekend. For those who are unable to schedule an individual appointment or don't wish to arrange a one-on-one session for whatever reason, I am considering starting a group support program. Perhaps with a mailing list! That would be better to reach those in quarantine, wouldn't it?

Speaking of which, my condolences to those infected by the storm. Our weather monitoring systems really aren't what they once were, but at least we had some warning this time.
