People of Austin,
The past several months have been an interesting transition for our troubled city. Austin was held captive for far too long under the corrupt regime of Reeves Olinger but now that we are free of his treachery and have been incorporated back into the United States, our quality of life has been on the rise. But is it enough?
The very government that has been helping in our rebuilding process got us into this mess in the first place by assigning our city to be a test site for Praxacaterol's affect on the zombie population. Obviously that did not go as planned, and instead of the drug being tested on the zombies, it was stolen by the Hellhounds and through their distribution and dealing of the drug, created a group of highly addicted and dangerous individuals. Many died at the hands of this drug, and the government in place mismanaged the handling of this situation entirely. And that isn't where the failures stopped. We were cut off from society and forced to scavenge and fight each day to survive while other cities in the United States were protectd by military, given fresh food, water and other supplies and were able to rebuild their cities into the thriving metropolises they are today. Austin was prevented from reaching its full potential along side the rest of the United States because out-of-touch politicians in Denver decided to turn our lives and our ability to survive into an experiment, and did not question what Reeves Olinger told them was happening in the city.
We, the people of Austin, are owed conpensation for their negligence. Our lives are not to be toyed with. The past few years have proven that we are strong and resilient people, but we were put through more hardship than anyone else in the United States and without our consent. I have written a formal petition requesting extra reparations for the harm they have done to all of us.
[Download Petition.doc]Please read and if you find yourself moved and share the sentiment that we are owed more than we've been given, join me, the entire city council and even the US Government Liason in signing your name. The more people that sign, the more they will know what they did is
not okay and we will
not stand for this injustice. If anyone has any questions, I would be happy to discuss via Freenet or by in-person or phone call appointments.
Thank you,
Savannah Posey
