WHAT: Simon and River gain back their memories and personalities, and Simon goes to rescue his sister — while also wondering what kind of magic could possibly alter her mind and make her sane again (even if she was kind of a dick).

Today we had two calves born and they are so cute! And they only have one head each so that's good. There's a boy and a girl. We had a drawing to see who got to name them and I won.

The boy is Norman and the girl is Edwina. I want to stay with them tonight. Is that okay?

Where'd that tiny little fella go? He left a pot of gold behind, and I've been tryin' to find him to give it back.

SIMON TAM:

Say you was gonna propose to someone. You'd already done it one, but the other person called off the weddin' 'cause of a major life change, but didn't tell you what it was. You found out what it was later, and you get back together.

Well, it seems that my arrival to this world comes in the midst of turmoil. But sometimes that is what life is, surviving and thriving in the midst of adverse situations.

My thanks to Dr. Tam and the staff in medical for fixing me up. I thought I was sure to be meeting my Maker soon when I woke up here with such skiled and kind people taking care of me. And Kaylee, your smiling way was as welcome a sight as ever.

I forget myself. My name is Shepherd Book and I'll be working in mental health. I'm a religious man where I come from - spent a fair bit of time in the monastery before traveling with the fine crew of the Serenity - but I'm not the type to force that upon anyone. But if you'd like to talk to someone, well, my door is always open.

I found a little animal! He's cute and furry. Simon, he's not dangerous so can I keep him? At least for a little while until he's not scared anymore? Right now he's scared. I'm keeping him in my sweater pocket until he's not scared anymore, so he's safe.
