The 100; a panfandom game

People are so annoying to me. This weekend I got a lot of "you're very cute but a little young for me". This is a general announcement that I'm 18ish, and therefore an adult and capable of making my own decisions about having sex and relationships. I don't understand why people get uncomfortable about age differences. Do they think that I'm immature because I'm not some magic number? And that I will become mature on a specific birthday?

I've gone through a lot. I was a coyote for seven years after I ate my mom and sister. I was targeted by assassins. I took algebra in summer school. Horrible stuff like that. And I say 18ish because I don't know how coyotes age or if my time spent as one "counted".

Is it a "take advantage of a younger person" thing? Because if someone tries to take advantage of me, I'll just kill them. See? You can totally date me now.

I don't care if people aren't interested in me because they think I'm weird. That's their poor life decision that they will later regret, because I'm an awesome girlfriend. But I don't understand why people get hung up over age. Can someone explain it to me in a way that will help me no longer think you're all being stupid?

Does anyone else miss home? I know...I should be lucky to be here, after everything that's happened in my life. I miss one of my best friends, but I'm glad I'm not alone here. I've been in a place where I've been completely alone before with no way out and I very nearly couldn't take it. I miss my boyfriend. Logic tells me that if there were some way to leave this place, someone would have found it by now with how many different people are here and how many different abilities each person has.

I know there are quite a few of you here and there's been talk about it before, but I'm curious. Forgive me if I'm repeating a question that's been asked before; I've not been here that long. Who among you all are magical beings of some kind? Witches or someone who can practice magic? I'm curious to know what sort of resources we have here and which type of enemies might be here who would try to hurt me or my friends.

Given that I used to be a book, I would appreciate curtailing any behaviour which would potentially injure them. This includes drinking too near to them and it most especially involves fighting round them, too.

Whoever you are, I do hope your knuckles smart for days.

Anyway, I'm Korra. I've been assigned to the Alpha team as a soldier, and I've got to say I've been in plenty of fights and my fair share of wars, but a formal soldier and military thing's a little different for me. Are there uniforms? I hope not

1. Any other elemental users here? We call them benders back home, but I guess that term won't get me too far here so I'll be more broad. People that can control fire, water, earth and air?

Here's to introducing myself a little more thoroughly. Is the military here more of a formality, or has it been established because it's frequently needed? I'm also willing to answer as much about myself as I need to to make you feel comfortable working with me.

I was starting to think that we'd have to spend all winter cramped in here like sardines, scratching cave paintings on the walls. Or was that only me? Well, it certainly looks a lot brighter in here. I do wish I had some yellow paint -- and that rock was a better canvas. Which, by the way, if the Pod God wishes to grace me with paints, I promise rocks will not be my first choice of canvas.

It seems that I have somehow been separated from my family while we were traveling. If someone could possibly call my father, that would be wise, otherwise you will not like to speak to him upon his arrival.

Guess this place is exciting. I just got here and people seem to be younger versions of themselves from everyone's reactions.

What sort of magic did this?

Attention music, art and lit nerds! Are you a well of seemingly useless trivia? Are you a well of wonderful trivia? Did you annoy all your friends with your obsession of any particular genre of music, art or literature? Then Elena Drake wants you to pour your heart out on camera so I can shamelessly use your words and passion to make one or two half hour long episodes a week about the topic of your obsession.

Specifically, I'm shining a spotlight on the things we have available to us here. We have a limited range of the available music and other media (and thank you to everyone who was dropped into this world with their iTunes libraries and iPods who graciously donated their stuff to the radio station), and I'm putting a show together that will educate people about what we do have and let fans celebrate it and talk about their experiences at home. Consider it half informational, half nostalgic in a History Channel format.

The warehouses here are full of things for archival purposes, so I'm specifically looking for artists and art students to talk about the visual art in the vaults, music nerds to talk about the different artists and genres that we've been broadcasting over the radio, and literature buffs who can talk about the classics in our library. Once I know who we have and what you're all interested in, I'll draw up some episode summaries and start scheduling when I can film whom. I'm also interested in doing episodes on everyone's reality-specific holidays and customs if you're willing to talk to me about that.

The working title for this is "Life in a Can". It'll be better when it actually airs. Maybe. Production on this series isn't going to be an official job, but if anyone has experience in television and media production and is willing to donate their time, I could use an extra camera person, as well as a couple of people to help me research and edit each episode. We're going to have a bit of a low budget feel, since the only cameras we have access to are my hand-held from home and my iPhone, but I can give anyone who came with their laptop a copy of the video editing software I have on mine. (In fact, I'm uploading that to the servers tonight, so that anyone with a compatible device can grab it and edit anything they feel like making.) The goal is to do two shows a week: one on media history and analysis, one on a custom or a holiday.

Completely unrelated to anything dragon, I think the people who draw comic books might be the least flattering artists ever. Though now I'm incredibly nostalgic for the Ronin days.
