WHO: Nat Rogers, June Rogers, NPC grumpy old lady
WHEN: Wednesday, August 29, around noon

SUMMARY: Nat finds a photo at work, which leads her on a lunchtime stroll, which leads her to A Clew
WARNINGS: Glib and blatant BSing

Nat Rogers: Girl Detective, doesn't have air conditioning in her house. She doesn't have air conditioning in her place of work.

However, she does have AC in her car. After a leisurely hour-long drive around town Thursday afternoon, she realizes that her car's running low on gas. Alas, all good things must come to an end.

She's looking for a place to park when she pulls up next to a car that appears to have a dog in the back seat??? Horrified at the thought (who the hell leaves a dog in the back of the car in this heat??) she throws her PT into park, scrambles to get her handy-dandy emergency tool out of her glove compartment, and immediately smashes the car window, because every second counts! But when she goes to pull the dog out through the window she realizes it's just a stuffed animal and all her quick thinking heroics were for nothing.

Throwing the tool back in her car and grabbing the first piece of paper she can find, she scribbles a very scribbly message on it and throws it in the window. It's only roughly legible but there's a very sad face drawn on it and a lot of exclamation points. There's also a much more legible outline for a Ducktales fanfiction on the back. Whoops.

Then she drives away, unaware that someone saw the whole thing. (And also that it's Amita's car. Whooooops.)

WHO: Alexi Weiss and Nat Rogers
WHEN: July 13, 2018 at Friday the 13th movie night.
WHERE: Harrison and Eliza's apartment above Common Grounds
SUMMARY: Chatting about adventure and lightish crime during a movie break.
WARNINGS: None.

INVESTIGATIVE ASSIGNMENT: PUMPKIN

The client, Monica Darby Darlington, suspects that her persian cat, Contessa Princessa, was impregnated by the subject, Pumpkin, a large orange maine coon owned by her neighbors, Louis and Kendall Lamont. The Lamonts deny Pumpkin’s involvement with Contessa Princessa and refuse to assist with the vet bills and kitten support unless Monica can prove Pumpkin and Contessa Princessa are “dating.” Monica Darby Darlington has retained Wolfe Investigations to conduct an investigation into the subject, Pumpkin’s, private life. She has requested that Wolfe Investigations initiate surveillance on the subject as soon as possible to ascertain whether Pumpkin and Contessa Princessa are ‘hooking up’ and has requested photographic evidence of any of Pumpkin’s liaisons and meetups. She also suspects he may be involved with her sister’s cat, Katy Purry.

With your boss currently busy chasing down leads for the Sheriff's Department, your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to visit the client’s home, identify Pumpkin and spend the weekend doing surveillance on the subject. You have many tools at your disposal, just ask Q (also known as Blaze Wolfe) for a hand if you need it.

It's Nat's dad's birthday and he's 39, that old old man! Nat got him a book, a mug, and printed-off copies of all the rulebooks for the board games they have that were missing their rulebooks. They were all wrapped and sitting outside his bedroom door this morning, along with two drawings done by Lily. The first one has Malcolm eating a piece of pizza and is signed Lily. The second is a picture of Malcolm with a cat (Nat's cat) and it's signed Booger. There are hearts drawn between Malcolm and the cat, because you can't fool us Dad, you love that cat and Booger knows it.

Coffee was also ready for him when he woke up, which may or may not be because Nat just really needed coffee after the movie party last night.

Happy Friday the 13th! Who's up for a cheesy horror movie marathon? Who's up for HOSTING the cheesy movie marathon?

So apparently I was serious about that whole driving home to the city for netflix thing. Who knew?

Ugh. If I stay here I'm gonna have to start paying for spotify too.

God, I forgot how torturously slow the internet was out here. It's enough to make you drive into the city just to binge Netflix.

Anyone need any boxes? We're like Box City over here, you could probably make a fort out of them. Missy can't even decide which to sit in, she's taken like three different naps just to test out the smallest ones.
