On Thursday morning, Cecelia Reyes had several meetings at the Bellowes Inn all with red headed women in their 30’s and 40’s. Most were from out of town and had driven in from Seattle or further, but one was Fall City’s very own PENNY DALE who did part of her audition with RHETT WYATT. The rumor that had been going around the Inn the past week said that the latest actress had dropped out just before signing a contract and Cecelia had decided to cast an “unknown” in the role.

All of the auditions wrapped by lunchtime at which point Cecelia tracked down HUGH CHRISTIAN & FILM CREW VOLUNTEER TWO and asked them to review some audition tapes with her. She told them both that her goal was to make a decision by the end of the day.

Around 3:30 AM, Rafael Valdez packed a cooler into his truck and drove to Seattle. He parked outside of the cemetery, resting his eyes until it was dawn. He spent the entire day in front of Noah's headstone with a lawn chair and a cooler.

When the cemetery closed for the evening, around 8 PM, he headed to a local bar, lingered until close, and returned to Fall City around 1 to 2 AM on June 29th, 2018. During the time that he was gone, his cell phone was on silent. He did not take calls. He did not answer texts. He would check in case Xo sent an SOS or an emergency notification. Otherwise, he is completely unreachable.

If your character is close with Raf (lol, who isn't), they'll know what day it is and why he's gone. In the meantime, the shop is operating on the manpower of his baristas alone. He typically has the place up and running for them each morning, especially the past few weeks, so expect a slight delay today!

This morning around 6:30, Megan showed up at Common Grounds and got a large iced coffee to go. Not completely unexpected, though a little earlier than she's normally there. What might be of particular note is the fact that she arrived and left in a car (she doesn't have one, so she walks everywhere). If you pay attention to that kind of thing, you'd recognize her mom's car. And then she left town, heading east.

She hasn't told anyone where she's going. The only person who knows anything is the Head Librarian, who only knows that Megan took time off from Thursday through next Tuesday. Speaking of the library, the teenaged girl (Melinda) who is only working part time at the library this summer because her parents made her get a job will be picking up most of Megan's shifts over the next few days. She doesn't know where anything is, she barely knows how to check books out to you, and she really doesn't care about being there or doing any kind of good job.

MICHELLE went to the library looking for The Handmaid's Tale and Melinda looked for it for 10 minutes before Michelle asked if she could check the computer. She nodded and says "oh, yeah" and checked… and the library's only copy is checked out. If you want her to add you to the waitlist for it, it'll take her another 10 minutes to figure that out.

SAM wants to look something up in the microfiche newspaper archives. Yeah, Melinda has no idea how that even works. After she tries to help for 15 minutes, QUINN comes to the rescue. Melinda sulks back off to the desk and puts her headphones in.

If you try calling Megan, the phone will ring a few times before going to voicemail: it's on, but she's not answering it. By dusk tonight, if you try calling it will go straight to voicemail: it's either off or the battery is dead. It won't be back on until Tuesday morning. Likewise, any texts you may send won't be answered until Tuesday, and even then it's not a guarantee. If you tried to reach her, hit the header below.

SUMMARY: Xo catches JJ causing problems and calls him on it. JJ proceeds to be a terrible human being.
WARNINGS: Language, shenanigans, Olly's adorableness, JJ.

( He’d spent the better half of an hour roaming around Fall City, lighting up booming explosive firework displays until he was pretty sure he’d shaken almost every house. )

WHO: Nate Griggs & Elijah Griggs
WHEN: May 9th, 2018. Evening.
WHERE: Nate's house.
SUMMARY: Eli attempts to hang out with Nate by making him dinner. It's honestly very weird for both of them.
WARNINGS: Shouldn't be any. Strained relationship, if anything.

SUMMARY: Henry Interview Part One: Henry gives Emilia the runaround.
