Hello everyone in the fair town of Fall City.

I hope everyone is settling into May all right. I would love to hear back from all our new forever families from the Spring Faire. Our own new member is still looking for her name, but I'll keep you all updated once we decide.

Also a retroactive congratulations to everyone from the Talent Show. You were all stunning in your own unique ways.

[Eva and Camila]
Do we have any set plans for Mother's Day?

[Eli]
At the moment we have a relatively light schedule for week after next Tuesday through Thursday. I was wondering if you felt all right handling anything that might come up?

[Ted]
I expect you've gotten some sleep? I'll be by again today.

[Old People Gang (Do you want to be part of the Old People Gang? Are you over the age of 45 and local? Then you can be in Old People Gang if you wish! Non-Locals to be added as you are befriended)]
With the Faire wrapping up I was thinking we could start some evenings again. Bowling? Or maybe hiking now that the weather has gotten nicer. I'm up for any ideas.

I would once again like to express my sincerest thanks to the judges and performers who participated in this year's Talent Show. The event was a rousing success. Our team at Ardente is especially pleased that this year the first prize could go toward supporting a family in need.

To those of you who did not place this year, there is always next year and you may pick up your comment cards at the restauraunt throughout the week.

Winners may pick up their prizes and trophies today. Just stop by the front desk of the restauraunt.

Faire is always a reminder that another school year is about to end. It's sad but I'm looking forward to having a little bit of a break.

Speaking of school, today is National Teacher Appreciation Day and this week is Teacher Appreciation Week! Be sure to thank your local educators as their job is an important but often underappreciated one.

Today was the first day of 2018 that we hit 75F, which means we're now officially into Frantically Googling Whether It's Legal To Break A Car Window To Save A Dog season.

For those of you calling our office or stressing out at home, Washington State provides Animal Control Officers the legal right to break into any car or enclosed space where an animal may be at risk. If you suspect an animal of being in danger in an enclosed space, the thing to do is to call animal control (or, yes, 911 if you think there's an emergency) and give them all the information you can. If Animal Control suspects the animal is at risk, they will dispatch someone to handle it. In very rare cases, if the situation seems dire, they may authorize you to break the window yourself--but please let them make that distinction and talk you through how to safely do so, to protect both yourself and the animal in question.

Bear in mind that when the outdoor temperature hits 75 degrees, the interior of a car can reach and exceed 100 degrees in ten minutes or less, and can rise exponentially to potentially deadly temperatures in a matter of minutes.

Also bear in mind that I'm very good at breaking windows, and most of your neighbors have either me personally or the DSD generally on their speed-dial.

Be smart, Fall City. Don't leave your dogs locked in cars.

Jim Halpert directed a horror movie and I'm pretty sure you should see it with me.

It's been ages since I played the piano for an audience. It was like being in high school all over again, playing at the nursing home for community service credits. What a superb experience.

I heard two things about the Rose Room today. The first thing is that it's hideous. Ask me what the interesting and additionally very sad thing is.

Rhett
As I suspected, the cops want to come around and check things out. I told them that it's cool and they can do their thing and I absolutely hope they find something in my room that helps them but it can't be THAT THING 😉. Would you mind sticking THAT THING 😉 under the seat of your car or in the glovebox or something until they're done?

You're my only friend with a car who can be trusted with this right now, Rhett.
