hi boss. funny story. i was out scavenging for what i think will be not exactly primitive settlements and i happened upon some decommissioned missiles - interesting, sure. let's not think about how they got there.

i took apart one of the warheads and found palladium! some parts that i could use to build a self-sustaining power supply for at least one settlement. maybe more. depends on what you've got.

Shit's not good, guys. While you were gone Podkru have been coming up with huge projects like communication towers that are going to affect other people. Planning how they're going to do it before they've even checked with department heads. When I called them on it and pointed out all the kinds of information they need that they can only get by consulting us I basically got told that we were hypocrites to object because we made mistakes in our first months here. And now one anonymous person uses the network to say the Podkru are scary, as a complete aside in a post about Grounders, and suddenly they're talking about killing us and taking the mountain?

I don't like this. Any of it. We welcomed them here, we've been working with them, learning from each other, trusted them enough to include them in our government, and they're acting like we're pests that need to be eradicated.

Sooo, I think we can all agree that communications is less than optimal in a world like this. People are at Polis right now and we can't talk to them given how far away they are. Walkie-talkies which are so old are incredibly limited and I can't even get them to sync up with our omni-tools.

I have hundreds of blueprints and I can turn anything into a communication device with scrap metal, tape and wiring, so I'd like to see if we can do a few salvaging runs and work on building communication towers? We have a lot of people who can fly and teleport to do drop-off installs, and setting up wireless beacons with a transponder could be possible?

Anyone else familiar with communications enough to help me? With enough brains and tequila, we can do anything!

I can't claim to know Peter half as well as his close friends but I did like his music and he made rather idiotic choices with women but at least he was aware of being an idiot, which often goes a long way because most people just stay idiots until they die.


Does anyone else not miss Storybrooke but maybe the idea of having ... normality? WHatever that is. But living a life. Being married. Having kids. Jobs. Not worrying about death and darkspawn and maker knows what else because you're set on a path where you can never be content with anything and you're destined for more. I'm not supposed to be the destined one. Garrett is. He's a good brother, you know, even if it's easy to get overshadowd by him but that isn't his fault, hes just larger than life and doesn't realize it sometimes. being a warden helped me step out of that shadow, but it always feels like there's some other shadow. the darkspawn. the calling.

We're back, and with good news for once. Lexa called us to Polis to offer us a place as the 13th Clan in the Coalition, and she's given us a week to decide if we want to accept or not. The Command officials will be meeting for the next few days to discuss it, but even though we won't be having an official vote, your thoughts are still valuable. This is a big decision on our part, and it's worth publicly discussing so that your representatives can accurately argue for your perspective in the meetings.

Speaking of the Council, we're having a shift in personnel: Abby Griffin is stepping down as Chancellor to devote more of her time to Medical. This means we're down from 5 members of the Council to 4 for the time being, because Marcus Kane is stepping up as Interim Chancellor until an official election later this year. Kane served the Council on the Ark, and to be totally honest, he understands and negotiates more effectively with the Grounders than Chancellor Griffin ever did. This is a positive thing, and Chancellor Kane should be addressing everyone in his own words soon.

SNOW WHITE:

I'm not sure what the chance means for you, because I'm not sure if Mom has talked to you about it. She basically resigned in Polis instead of waiting to get back. Kane might be more proactive about announcing things himself or he may want to use you the way Abby did. I'm just not sure, and I wanted to give you the head's up.

Well, it seems that my arrival to this world comes in the midst of turmoil. But sometimes that is what life is, surviving and thriving in the midst of adverse situations.

My thanks to Dr. Tam and the staff in medical for fixing me up. I thought I was sure to be meeting my Maker soon when I woke up here with such skiled and kind people taking care of me. And Kaylee, your smiling way was as welcome a sight as ever.

I forget myself. My name is Shepherd Book and I'll be working in mental health. I'm a religious man where I come from - spent a fair bit of time in the monastery before traveling with the fine crew of the Serenity - but I'm not the type to force that upon anyone. But if you'd like to talk to someone, well, my door is always open.

Anyone who's wanting to keep one of those things is going to need somewhere secure to keep it. If anyone recognises them and knows what sort of living conditions they need, can you let us know? Assuming Command says it's okay we should be able to put something together to keep them away from places they shouldn't be.
