Anyone who's wanting to keep one of those things is going to need somewhere secure to keep it. If anyone recognises them and knows what sort of living conditions they need, can you let us know? Assuming Command says it's okay we should be able to put something together to keep them away from places they shouldn't be.

And see if anyone in Animal Husbandry can check none of them are pregnant.

They are kind of cute.

I've got some leftover supplies used to make my rat cages, if anyone needs them. Don't want them getting into more of the supplies, yeah?

That would be great. I'm not sure how small a gap they can get through but they don't look like they can squeeze as much as mice can. I know we've got some perspex sheets in one of the warehouses too.

All yours, m'dear! I'd offer up a playdate, but.. well. That'd likely end badly for your little critter. Maybe when I start the next trials?

You can have visitation rights, but I'm not bringing it to the lab.

What should I name it?

You sound like Shepard!

Oh Keelah, ummmm. Adas is my favorite of the planets in Rannoch's system? It's the smallest and is like a mini greenhouse planet.

Could just call it Keelah. ;)

You could, but if it learns it's name it may come running at awkward moments.

It's kind of like naming a dog Shithead. Just not cool.

Adas it is.

I will personally gut any of these damn things roaming the compo

Pregnant tiny furry elephants. Something I never thought I'd a) live to see or b) ever even hear about.

I didn't think the ones in books had fur. They definitely weren't that small.

At least if people house and feed them properly they won't be getting into our supplies though.

Yeah, I remember seeing one in one of Bell's books. They were as big as our units back on the Ark.

Short out fuses. Clog up drains. Get into food. Ugh.

I'm not sure how they could have gotten so small over a hundred years. Probably they're something else that's turned up from another universe, like we didn't have enough animals to worry about already.

Leave droppings everywhere.

Went underground? I don't remember those snakes in the river being in any of our books either.

I'm keeping one. It's name is Zekk and we've bonded now.

I'll have a look and see if I can work out sex and if any of them are carrying

You've bonded, or you've been feeding it?

If you haven't worked out sex after that lecture I don't know if there's much hope for you. Good. If people are insisting on keeping them they should know what to expect.

Bonded. He has a name.

I'm just gonna use the Force to get a read on these things. We can communicate in a way.
