Now, I'm not trying to get your hopes up here, but I may be onto something.

At the end of last month, I'd had a breakthrough on my formula. So far, the preliminary tests are looking good. It still requires testing, but I believe I'm on the right path?

I know none of you want to deal with this, but we have to. It's been days since the mass disappearance, and we need to start putting things in storage or redistributing them. These are the things that need to happen:

Clothes need to be given to laundry services so they can be cleaned and returned to the clothing makers. (Laundry and clothing also needs volunteers to help with the workload.)

Weapons, especially guns, need to be given to the military so they can be redistributed among the soldiers and the guard. Non-military people who know their way around weaponry could be useful helping them check everything over and store them properly for now.

Personal items need to be cared for, either by finding a home with someone the missing person was close to, returned to friends or family from their own reality, or put into storage to clear space in their room. If your housemate disappeared and you have items of theirs that might mean something to someone from their own world, but you don't know who those people are or if they're still around, post here to find them.

In some cases, almost everyone from a group or apartment has disappeared. Volunteers for anything in this (laundry, clothing, weapons, or going through rooms and apartments that would be neglected otherwise) are appreciated. Cleaning out empty apartments is usually difficult enough when it's just one or two.

I'm happy to announce that the medical team working on Mr. Kirk's infection have successfully isolated the infection, studied it thoroughly, found weaknesses and through that, Dr. Banner and I were able to replicate an antibiotic that is showing signs of being effective against the strain, and Mr. Kirk is now on the mend.


All of my team is brilliant and deserve all of the drinks, snacks, chocolates and goodies you'd like to send their way.

It still stands that if you start exhibit symptoms of any sort of infection you should come to us right away.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to devote as much time to a beautiful, smart woman as she'll allow, as I've been horribly neglectful, and then sleep for eight days.

Fellow Thedosians, you'll be pleased to know that neither Alistair nor I senses any darkspawn, so it's not the "tainted horrors tunneling below us" kind of earthquake.

At least, not those tainted horrors. Can't really rule out anything around here.

I guess I didn't figure Virginia for Earthquakes. West Coast, sure, but this has shattered my entire perception about the East coast.

[FILTERED TO COMMAND, MEDICAL, MILITARY SERGEANTS, 505E & BRAVO SCOUT TEAM]

Jim Kirk was admitted to medical with an infected wound, after an examination with Nurse Chapel. We're still attempting to isolate exactly what it is, but it's a nasty bugger. The things we know so far is that it's quickly spread and it's not responding to traditional antibiotics or magic.

As such, we've placed Mr. Kirk under a temporary quarantine here at the hospital, along with those he lives with. We very much apologize for any inconveniences this might cause, but I promise you we're going to attempt to make it as quick and painless as possible, it's only until we isolate the infection and figure out how contagious it is.

Better to be safe than sorry, I'm afraid. We'll be working overtime to come up with a treatment and cure, and monitoring anyone else that might have come in contact with Mr. Kirk. Bravo Squadron, please come to medical today for a full checkup. I don't want to have to hunt you down, but I will if I don't hear from you by noon. We don't believe it's that far spread, but as I said - better to be safe than sorry.

I plan on releasing a public statement when we know more of the symptoms, to follow up on this. If you're head of anyone in the military that receives a wound, please make sure they receive proper medical care. Any wound at all, even a small one. If anyone under your command becomes feverish or develops a rash, send them to us immediately.

Peter, buddy. How are you at basketball? I'm dying for a weekly pick-up match. Nothing serious, just a little time in the gym.
