The 100; a panfandom game

Greetings, listeners readers.

I'm Cecil Palmer. I come from a lovely little desert town called Night Vale. I've been given the lay of the land, so to speak (the land doesn't quite so much lie as it does lie, pretending to be a mountain, which we all know is not a real thing), and have already met some interesting people. I get the feeling that this place has higher than its average quota of interesting people. It's certainly comforting to know that, no matter how far from home one gets, one is still assured that not all people are humans (and not all humans are people).

I've been told that I'll be assisting with radio operations, which is somewhat seredipitous, as I am a long-time veteran of community radio. While I try to find some answers about the mysteries that have befallen me, I look forward to keeping your interesting and hospitable community abreast of all the latest news and events. Feel free to introduce yourself! I know I will be doing the same.



Incidentally, has anyone here come across a vast, endless desert that stretches into a shadowy, twilight nothingness, at the center of which is a red, blinking light, the type as might come from a strange, transdimensional lighthouse, shining its beacon as a rallying cry to a huge and fearsome army of masked figures, and in which might currently be roaming a scientist with perfect hair and an oaky, caramel voice, and who answers to the name of Carlos?

On the plus side, I'm pretty sure that was Thorin Oakenshield's dragon sickness world. The weird melty gold and the dragon swimming around underneath. We were in Lord of the Rings! How cool is that?

Remus, I must thank you for the recommendation of Fellowship Of The Ring. It is a finely told tale thus far. I am currently in the midst of Elrond's council. He and Rivendell are much as I have imagined the ancient elvhen of my own world to be.

Is there anyone here who has the skills to make musical instruments? My belongings were lost in the goblin caves due to our need to make a somewhat hasty exit and my harp was amongst them. While it is hardly an urgent request, music can be a pleasant diversion in the evenings.

Folks seem to got real interesting stories round here. I shoulda done this a while ago, but this place is kinda overwhelminglike if you don't know what you got into. My name's Kaylee, and I was a mechanic on a spaceship. Ain't so special where we're from, but some seem to think so. We sailed round a lot, from port to port. Didn't spend too much time planetside, but I seen lots of pretty cities from the ship!

I'm more interested in your stories though!

I am pleased to be living under a mountain once again but the construction of this place is poor antiquated human rudimentary. A pity I do not have more of my people here. The stone around us is solid and it would be easy enough to make this place a true city.

Greetings. I am Thorin Oakenshield, son of Thráin, son of Thrór. I have been assigned to the forge, which is at least work I know, though I am more used to forging weapons and armour than more homely items.

And to preempt the question I have been asked twice so far, yes, I am meant to be this height. I am a dwarf.
