I am Thor Odinson of Asgard. I have been led to believe this is Midgard, but it looks nothing like the realm I left only hours ago. What has happened here?

As there are a limited number of copies of various books available for our entire community to share, I thought that, perhaps, it would be nice if we were to share some of them together. When I was growing up, and indeed even as an adult, it was not uncommon for my family to gather in a sitting room each evening. Many entertainments were to be had, of course, from general conversation to card games to charades to listening as someone or other played the piano. During the winter, it was also a pleasure to settle with a cup of tea and listen as someone read aloud. While any of those are, of course, possible for us to take up while we are here, it is of reading aloud that I am most interested.

I've found myself in possession of the only copy we have of The Hobbit, and I invite everyone to join myself and Cullen Rutherford as we read this together. I thought perhaps we could begin this evening, after the party, and continue each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings until we are through, at which point we will continue on through the Lord of the Rings books. We will be using the common area in 501. And of course, any other evenings that anyone wants to read aloud from a book, I imagine that would be most welcome.

I know it's a long way off, but I have to say that I am absolutely craving my mom's Swedish meatballs. I don't know if any of the cooks know how to make them, but as soon as we have all of the ingredients, I am so going to show you guys how.

Actually, I'm really just missing home right now. I would have gone to all of the Mets home games by now. And would have looked at flights to the West Coast at least a dozen times a day for the games that aren't at home. Anyone want to raid the gym storage and see if there are any gloves and bats are in there, and have a pickup softball game before play practice?

Is there any way we could let the animals outside? They're getting cooped up in here and I swear the cows are giving me sad eyes.

I would kill for some Mallomars.

I must be having a fairly bad couple of days. I don't usually mind waking up in confined spaces without knowing how I got there, but [...] I'd like to know how I got here, exactly. And wh Or how you did all that without waking the other guy.

And maybe not doing it again. That might be best for everyone involved.

Oh pancakes. Why you do me wrong like that? We've had such a great lifetime of memories and now you do that whole business yesterday. How will I ever trust you again?

I introduced myself before, when I first arrived, but I'd like to do it again, more officially. My name is Nathan Wuornos. At home, I was a detective with the Haven Police Department. I also did a lot of work, unofficially and off the books, to help people with problems that the law couldn't account for.

There is a problem here that hasn't been accounted for, yet. This is a place where people can go missing for a number of reasons. It is extremely dangerous to be missing and unaccounted for around here, with so many threats to our lives. We didn't have an official way of handling a missing persons case before, but with the help of my partner Audrey Parker, and with your help and the help of the government here in Mt. Weather, I'd like to change that.

If there is someone you can't account for, no matter how short of a time it's been since they were last seen or spoken to, please come to us (myself or Audrey) immediately. I'd rather discover that searching for them was unnecessary than miss the window of time in which we could have done something to help them. And if you'd like to help us search, I'm willing to take volunteers.
