Anyway. Neither Evie nor I are the religious sort, but we've picked up a habit of reading Charles Dickens' The Christmas Carol every year. Didn't see it in the library - didn't actually go to the library - but I've got the whole thing mostly memorized and I'm going to give the Best Bits version, if you're interested and want to pop by on Christmas Eve. Evie'll do the parts with the Ghost of Christmas Future; she's dead dramatic (Evie, I just volunteered you). Sounds fun, right? Come over, let's be friends. Since a few of you have asked on the network, I thought I'd go ahead and let you know that you have the all-clear to head outside. We recommend against traveling out of doors without a radio or your tablet, if you're traveling within the 5 mile perimeter. Outside of that, you'll need a tracker, no exceptions. The snow may have stopped, but the signs and markers we used to know where we were have been hidden by the snow. Please use your best discretion.

A few of us scouted outside after the blizzard stopped. It seems fine. And people should be okay to go out now. I think. But, maybe wait for Command to clear that.

Just, me and Mom saw something really weird. A two-headed deer frozen like a statue and, a panther frozen when it was getting ready to lunge. But, the sense I got from them was that they weren't killed in the storm. There wasn't enough snow on them for that.

Anyone know anything that can freeze an animal like that?

Is it okay to go outside again?

I don't care how many times I see it, snow is still weird.

It almost makes you miss the filtered air and temperature control of the ark.

This is bone-shattering, teeth-chattering cold. This is cold that goes straight through you, Narnian cold that can only be shaken by Lion's b a warm fire and a dream of spring.

This cold, these uncharacteristically 'weird' happenings, I think they make us ask the question:

Who do we trust? Is trust relevant in Mount Weather with the snow piled up to our knees?

That's what I ask myself, anyway. That's what my mother, my sister, my brothers would want to know. Who do we trust? What do we do? How do we build ourselves into the framework of a million universes, a million timelines, a million lives?

Capture the flag was so much fun. Even if Jacen did get cocky after the first game.

I'm trying this capture the flag game that has been spoken about. We don't have such a game in my world, though it would be useful as a training exercise.

Does anyone have any advice?

As far as kidnappings go, this one's got legs. Remote forest? Mountainside lair? Nice attention to detail, except for one thing: the bulk of the Wayne holdings was filtered through charities weeks ago. So if it's money you're after, you're about to have a real bad day, friend.
