PROSPECTIVE AA/NA MEETING PEOPLE:

Is there anything, refreshment-wise, that you would prefer? I'm still getting a handle on the rationing and food packs they've got here. I have to admit, it's not my usual fare.

I'm very happy that we've gotten the space in 205. Having a door that closed is much better for us in the long run. We won't have anyone stumbling in on our meetings.

Firstly, why am I being growled at over breakfast? Not something I expected out of my morning.

Secondly, and I loathe to even bring this up, but it's far too quiet around here. I know, I know, it's actually rather noisy at times, but it's.. A different sort of noise, far misplaced from the 13th Century. It's so [...] modern. At times, even the singing can annoy me, mostly because it tends to be from the heart and brutally honest. But really.


So consider this my offer for proper singing lessons. Learning to harmonize. Being lyrical. Maybe you can even use it to woo someone you love! Works great, typically. People love honesty, and duets in the halls of this mountain would go a long way to improving cheeriness, I think. We may die of pestilence, the plague and childbirth in droves, but at least we die with a smile on our faces should we be belting out song.

Yeah, not showering never doesn't suck, but as long as you guys keep bringing on the free food and laundry services, I can't complain too much.

I am so sorry if Hazel taught the other kids any new words. I have no idea where she learned those.

Right then. I guess I've not actually gone mad and you lot are all real after all. Or real enough, anyway.

Randomly showing up here is the luckiest I've been in a while. If the catch to a free place to live with my kid and no one trying to kill me is just living in this hill, then fine, I'll take it. Medical, if a man with horns shows up, come find me. That one's probably mine. He can't be that far behind me

And look, I'll pull my weight around here, but no way in hell am I leaving Hazel with strangers during the day. If anyone has an issue with her in the kitchens while I'm there, you can suck it.

I noticed that childcare is somewhat light on adult oversight lately. I assume either the surge of children scared everyone off, or what the "Pod God" giveth, so the "Pod God" taketh back.

Unless Snow needs me to take care of something, I will stay to help. Really, the kids are more fun than pretending to look occupied behind a desk. (Shh. You never heard me say that. Our secret!)

I can also fetch volunteers. Have you met Thor? You should meet Thor.

I like this idea, especially since I have to run through the "yes, I'm an alien" conversation at least once a month. Which I don't mind! But sometimes it's nice to give people the chance to ask without feeling uncomfortable.

I'm Admiral Tali'Zorah vas Normandy nar Rayya (formerly vas Neema) of the Quarian migrant fleet. Normally I wear a suit, and I still wear it outdoors here, if you've seen anyone in a purple mask that's me. But the same thing that brought us here improved my immune system enough so that I can survive without it, with only minimal allergies. Here, I work in Tech, but back home I was an machinist, hacker and engineer on the SSV Normandy and on Commander Shepard's squad.

Feel free to ask me questions! I'll answer anything and I like talking about ships and mechanics. ... I also tend to ramble if you get me going on about engines. But I do very good impressions of the Normandy engines.

If anyone has newfound children that they would prefer to not to drag to the tavern, please come see me in Childcare Services and drop them off with me. We have toys, coloring books, and Tuesdays are music day.

Felix, this is too weird.

I don't care if that child is normally your best friend, your sweetheart, your first mate, your mother, or what: a tavern is not a place for children. Babies who aren't aware enough to be picking up awful language from our regulars and aren't big enough to get underfoot, fine. Anyone who is currently between the ages of 2 and 15, however, needs to be elsewhere. No one loves children more than I do, and some of these are absolutely adorable, but taverns are for adults!

Is anyone else weirded out that dragon steak looks like beef but tastes like chicken? Because that was trippy.

Felix, I know I told you not to say "I told you so" and not to talk to me for a little while, but ...

I feel sort of relieved. I knew that Foggy and I weren't going to last, and the guilt about Donnie was getting to me, especially when Foggy did something that really reminded me of him. I knew at some point I was going to have to break it off, or I could just keep on being selfish. The universe made that decision for me, though, so ... hooray?

Maybe if I keep thinking about that I'll stop thinking about how now I miss two men instead of just one.

I noticed that there wasn't anything for addicts here. Seeing as I am an addict, and I'm in recovery, I thought I might suggest some sort of group where we could talk about it? I was going to AA and NA meetings back home, I got out of the habit when I arrived here. And now that things are settling down, I can see why Jessica would I hadn't gone to any since Kilg

We have a lot of people here who like to sing, and who can sing. Anyone want to join me in putting on an informal holiday concert closer to Christmas? Nothing too big or fancy, just people singing together to entertain everyone else. If nothing else, we can go caroling once a week and put some holiday spirit into the place.

I've been thinking a lot about honesty.

I mean the world would be easier if people didn't keep secrets so much. From everyone around them, from themselves. Secrets can be dangerous things in the wrong hands.

And even without someone knowing your deepest darkest. They eat away at you. From inside. Watching it happen is weirdly facinating sometimes.

So today I have so many freakin plans. I did most of my work inside a few hours and I've sketched like three upcoming ideas for shows. I need to keep busy. And I know what you're gonna say but I'm fine. And all that secret stuff isn't about you. Or anyone here, it's just an observation.

But all the same, busy is better than sitting and obsessing over it all so, hey, come help me with ideas?
