BEN IRONS:
I couldn't get away this weekend. Let me make it up to you.

Can I keep you up on a school night?

MARIA GREY:
Hello, darling. Don't wait up for me this evening — I'm staying late to reorganize my lab storage. Completely boring, but has to be done, you know how it is.

Where's the video footage from the impound lot from last night's theft? Jane Doe's yellow bug was stolen, but I can't find the video feed anywhere. It's not in the case file in the evidence locker. Where I saw you earli

Any ideas?
MARK COLLINS:
You remember that case I was talking about? The Jane Doe car that went missing?

Anything to distract fr The concept of voting to herald in a new leader is strange to me, although I understand that it is quite common to many of you. It literally gives the power to the masses, does it not? Interesting concept, even as I am skeptical of it. Yharnam functioned as an independent city-state, of course, and was constantly at war with the city-states it was geographically near. The Church organised the city and determined which cleric sat on which borough. It was an imperfect system, as it tended to favour familial dynasties rather than opportunity for advancement for everyone, but as the purity of one's blood was vital to being respected, familial inheritance was the only way to control who took seats of power.

So, voting. How interesting! I have done so. I can see the appeal, I suppose, although what does one do if one is not happy with the results? Is there recourse? Objection? Fights to the death? There was a son who was granted the head of the Choir back home who many hated due to his constant trips to the lower wards of the Cathedral district (I believe it is referred to as 'red light' in this vernacular). Many objected to what they perceived to be his moral failings. There was objection to his post, the Choir rallied, and they never found his head in the end. Politics are fascinating stuff.

FRIENDS:
I absolutely hate having Mondays and Tuesdays off, but oh my god, my feet are killing me so I'll take it. Leroy, one of the miners, stepped on my foot. I swear to god, it felt more like he was 10 feet tall and weighed a ton, not shorter than me and super hairy. Then he had the NERVE to get in my face for being behind him. I watered down his drinks after that.

Anyone up for a lazy lunch?

I'm pretty sure you guys are all the last ones only people from your worlds now. I really, really don't want to be mawkish with people's personal items at all, but at least in your cases where there's someone who probably knows which bits are important I'm going to see if I can put them all at the bottom of the list and focus first on the people who didn't leave anyone behind. That still puts you on a deadline unfortunately but the only other thing I can offer is someone to ask if you want help from a stranger.

Apart from that I'm going to try to make sure that any obvious personal items will be labeled and put into a separate storage area in case the owners come back. But anything you can hold onto yourselves is so much the better.

By my quick count, there are thirty different worlds that we've just lost everyone from, and another ten where there's only one person left.

I don't suppose your couch is available for the night? I don't mean to be a bother, I'm just working a double shift and another tomorrow, seems a waste of funds to book a room for about six hours.

There was a time I'd make jokes about people getting together to talk about dances and decorations and fairs, because it seemed so simple and smalltown. Now I've give almost anything to have that kind of carefree Hindsight is accurate and kind of a jerk. Have fun, if anyone wants to wield my vote in my absence, let me know.
