Good news, everyone! We finished building a few generators, and I've moved on to converting some more guns and making smaller batteries for things like lights and gadgets and appliances. If you have any requests, send them my way! Fair warning, though, if you ask for a Weather Battery as a lightbulb, they are very bright, so don't ask if you're prone to headaches.

Oh dear. I am afraid I got quite caught up in reading all the books I could find, and several days seem to have gone by. I must say it is very convenient to be able to read them all for myself. Did I miss anything terribly important?

Heads up. I just ran into our little friend. He was sneaking out of the facility with a backpack of stuff, tried to call my bluff. We ended up sparring a little before I let him run off. Don't worry, I got one of Raven's trackers on him. He was pretty adamant about leaving, which means I think he knows where he's going. Or where he thinks he's going. I'd suggest letting him think he got there, so he knows what he's actually up against.

Funny thing though. While we were fighting, his fighting style seemed really familiar. No regard for his own personal well-being beyond his objective. Smart mouth. It reminded me of James Bucky. I think he's some alternative universe version of him.

How is your project with the farm animals coming along?

On Friday, I'll have been here in Mount Weather for six months. It's becoming home, but there are too many days when I wake up and expect to see stars outside of a window in my quarters -- a window that I don't have. I miss, truly miss, looking out the window and seeing the stars as they stream by at warpspeed. I miss my office in Sickbay, and I miss every single person on board the Enterprise. Mostly, though, I miss my son Wesley. I thought I would have another year at least with him, before he went off to Starfleet Academy, and here I don't know if I'll ever see him again. I'd grown [...] used, I suppose, to the idea that my husband is dead, that I wouldn't see him again. But to have to come to terms with not seeing my child again -- there are days I cursed whatever it was that brought us here.

In any case, I would like to let you all know that the medical center here in Mount Weather has established a new department within itself. The mental health department is designed to provide all residents of Mount Weather with counselors and therapists for those who are battling mental illness. There is nothing too small or insignificant for them to address for you, so please reach out if you are overwhelmed, sad, angry -- anything. Betsy Braddock, Rachel Summers, Major Lilywhite, and Charles Xavier are here to serve you and to make sure that you are mentally healthy. Sam Wilson also provides services as a counselor.

And finally, since I decided to make a speech out what was going to be a small post, thank you to everyone who helped to care for those of us who were unable to, during the recent medical crisis. Your work and diligence are more than appreciated. Thank you.

Mount Weather, I feel like we haven't done something that is truly fun in a little while. I'd mentioned last month about some ice skating, and I think that this weekend will be perfect for it. Only, let's hold it outside, and maybe the kitchen staff can set up lunch outdoors for us? And it can be a little like a festival, only it's a party, outside. Who wants to help me clear a space nearby for ice skating?
