Everyone:
The fellow at the Welcome Center said that I should introduce myself to practically everyone by using this little box. It is beyond peculiar. It is impossible to be acquainted with everyone.
My name is Arcturus Black, and I am the son of Licorus Black, and if you are unfamiliar with him because you are from abroad or the future or because you are a muggle, he is one of the most powerful wizards in Britain. I expect he will devise a spell to bring me home before too long. In the meantime, though, I suppose it is best to try to be cheerful. Making a fuss over being away from home never helped anyone.
I had a carriage ride yesterday and that was splendid. I had never tried it before because my father said he didn't see the sense in children taking carriages. What else ought I to do here? I'm not interested in any of that modern rubbish and I'm not going near any muggle machines, but I like card games, and magical amusements.
Also if there are any wizards reading this I would especially like to speak with you.
