Been awhile for this but hey, St. Paddy's day is coming up on the 17th. As many of us know, the holiday has become about getting blackout drunk and partying hard. So, don't drink and drive and drink responsibly - in moderation. Remember to drink water and eat proper food. Seriously. I'm really not interested in alcohol poisoning cases.

Does anyone know if there's a store that carries about thirty standard size lightbulbs? Everywhere I stopped on the way home only had a couple in stock. I'm cool with different brands or types. I just kind of need them until I can actually order a batch.

Is this place always so barbaric? Screams and howls all throughout the night - just what is going on?

This will be noted. There is no need for such noise in an orderly world.

I must ask - is there someone or someplace around here that specializes in prosthetics? As long as I can borrow a few tools, I can fix my arm.

I am trying to be cheerful and think of things I like here that we didn't have at home. In the interest of fairness I am not listing any people, only things, although there are several people here whom I am very pleased to have met.

2. Hot dogs
3. Extendable ears Certain useful charmed objects
4. Tame dragons in a garden
5. Faster broomsticks

That is a good beginning, I think.

I seem to have misplaced my best friend. I don't suppose anyone's seen her? About, I dunno, 5'7". Black hair. Wears a lot of purple? Excellent with a bow and arrow?

How can people bask in the red and pink polluting the streets when all of our loved ones go missing? With no explanation.

My wife is gone and no explanation whatsoever was given. An offering of holiday cheer to blind us from the mysterious departures that occur on a regular basis... The holiday season is long gone and I wonder what other glimmering gift they will hope to use as a distraction?

One thing I miss about the holidays are the Weasley Christmas sweaters. Gran would knit one for everyone and while they'd be hideous, a bit ill-fitting, and label everyone with the first letter of their first name, it was a cozy tradition. I didn't get one of those this year.

Meanwhile, I'm thinking about quitting my job. No idea what I'd do instead, but these hours are killing me. I'm far too young to feel like I'm eighty-bloody-years-old. Merlin's pants...

I think he's been enjoying the bed and my owl visitor more than I have been. Jamie! Look at him! Can he come play someday? I think he'd enjoy it.

It's been so cold, I hope everyone's staying warm. I'm looking forward to visiting the beach again once the weather permits.
