I know I'm not the only woman here raising children on her own, and that can be very hard when it wasn't what you planned to do. I was always lucky to have other women in my community help me, back where I'm from. I thought it might be something we could do here. Would anyone be interested in meeting on Friday mornings? We could talk about any issues, or just have a friendly chat, and maybe support each other with babysitting and other practical matters. It can get lonely otherwise, especially if you have little ones. You can bring along any children who aren't in school, and we'll keep an eye on them together.

I know things are weird and sort of awful but if anyone needs some levity; I just did some laundry and matched up every single sock in this apartment. All of them. Even the baby ones.

Is this what being a god feels like?

I guess it's a good thing my kids aren't nursing anymore...

I wanted to let everyone know that we've redone a section of the park near [location]. It's geared toward children but obviously anyone is welcome, just let Stevie or me know if anything is broken or needs attention.

Neville has put a few charms on the area to keep it safe and practical: the ground is charmed to cushion falls, the water will stay safe in case any little ones try to drink it, and none of the trees will grow bigger, so the stuff built on them will stay safe and they'll stay at a good climbing size.

Also there is a small area full of edible flowers and fruits and herbs, but we made sure none of the the other plants are harmful, even if kids eat them, they just won't taste very nice.

Would anyone mind if I took over a small portion of the park on wheel 3 to make a children's garden? Everyone would be welcome to use it, of course, but it would be aimed toward little ones and their parents. If this bothers anyone, let me know and I'll figure something else out.

So something happened.

I'm starting to think the food here doesn't like me. Is anyone else feeling kinda sick all the time?

Uhm, I don't know how to ask this but what has just happened? What's going on? Is everyone all right?

I've noticed a lot of new-but-not-new arrivals lately and just wanted to put word out that, if you need anything, Stevie and I are always willing to help out. We have lots of frozen home-made meals ready and know where you can find most other things, plus he's good at moving furniture if you don't like your apartment (Yes, I'm volunteering him for this but give him a snack and he won't even whine).

Speaking of new arrivals, I'm going to start making rounds at the daycare and maternity/pediatric ward at the hospital again. So if anyone needs any care or wants do drop off little ones for a while, feel free to come by. I'll be there every Monday-Thursday, from 10am to 2pm, but if you'd like another time just ask.

And with all of these new little ones, I've also been thinking that we could use a few more hands, so if anyone would like to train in midwifery or childcare just let me know and we can set something up!
