Claire's post got me thinking... Wow, I miss Reese's. But then this morning, I learned the joy of having to sharpen the last two inches of my eyeliner pencil with a knife. My mascara dried up like, two months ago, and my Nars lip gloss is on it's last legs.

I miss Sephora.

If anyone feels the need to rain on my parade, and talk about how there's bgger things in life to worry about, blah, blah noble superhero shit, I will make your eardrums bleed. People need creature comforts, and $30 eyeliner just happens to be mine. Join in on the commiserate instead, okay? What dumb item do you miss from home that while you can completely live without, life just isn't the same? (I think 'vibrators' goes without saying, but by all means.)

The news almost writes itself around here, doesn't it? A little sad we didn't get to see James on a table and singing us something off Broadway, though. Maybe next time. Though, in honesty, I shouldn't make light of the people who got targeted by this. There's something nearly every day, I worry it'll affect one of us before long.

It's amazing what you can do with an icy breath and heat vision, if you have some time and determination. I've carved a few ice sculptures up in the colder reaches, away from the loose-packed snow. No chance of cascading avalanches. Would you like to go see? Late Valentine's gift. It's not much, and I'm by no means a great artist...

Alright, if you haven't seen ~~Captain?~~ Rogers post, unless you're signing up to go out into the fight, we'll be doubling up on perimeter patrols in case they get past the front line of defense.

~~I'm waiting for an answer to know if we're going into lock-down, so for now just keep up patrols and stay out there until we're called in to fight or it's over.~~ We're keeping people inside. I've been instructed that they aren't to know why, if at all possible.

I'll be in the air if you need me, but I'm not leaving the area.

I'm not supposed to say anything but - well, I'm terrible at orders. There's possibly a disturbance outside the mountain, it's being handled. I'm not fighting, but if you don't hear from me for a few hours it's cause I'm on guard duty, okay? Don't tell anybody about this yet.

I retired, you know. Just recently. And now I'm here. In this hellhole. No offense, if you like it here, but I was just married.

Literally. Ten minutes ago. And my wife isn't here. Do you know what I had to go through the last two seasons for my love? A lot. I had to die for it. Isabella was engaged to an eleven year old.

Now I have a twin not-brother and no princess. And Sid was right about metal zipper things and he's never going to let me live it down. This is where I would normally make threats, such a "bring my wife to me or I will slice through all of you" yet something tells me that wouldn't work. I need a drink.

Hi, I'm Clark. Dr. Chakrabarti and Rory in Medical have told me there's no point in trying to downplay my other identity. My parents named me Kal-El, and the Daily Planet has given me the nickname of Superman. This is apparently very well known here, so I apologize for the subterfuge - the intake staff have been very helpful, I'm sorry I didn't catch any names. I'm not used to being nearly comatose.

This is quite a lot to take in. The world has suffered so much. Did I fail to protect it? Or is this really and truly not the same world I grew up in? Part of me wants to go to Kansas and see if there's anything left. It seems working for the Planet has gotten me in the habit of writing out my thoughts. Sorry for the rambling. If you'll excuse me, I need to find Lois. I was told she was here, too. Thank you for making me feel welcome and not wanting to run experiments. It means a lot.

I suppose I should be glad that at least this space pod situation didn't end in flames. I can handle being 1 for 2.

I'm Lois Lane, hailing from Metropolis. I'm usually a news reporter, but apparently I'll be channeling my talents into the radio and surveillance while I'm here. Which, I'm going to guess, involves reporting a lot of particularly interesting stories, being the radioactive apocalypse.

I'm not sure how many of you I know, but there are probably (hopefully) some. Either way, hello. Discovering the existence of alien planets and their alien people has me feeling a strange sense of here we go again instead of being as confused and panicked as I probably should be.

I'm just glad I brought a coat.
