If there is but one thing which plagues me more than any other, it's stagnation and inactivity. While cobbling and discovering this world in its own right has its own merits, I find myself with idle hands and begin to wonder if any active hearts and minds here feel the same? If so, allow me to propose a small thing? Please do allow me to play host to a ladies' circle. This group would gather to socialise, certainly. But I should also think that we could put our backs to a host of good works:Building out the Library, whether through copying or through memory Stockpiling knowledge of our own various worlds Honing our self defense skills & keeping physically sharp Building good cheer and grace amongst our hosts & friends, alike Playing host to any number of activities which may require our own specific influence

How strange it is, with absolutely no warning, to be transported through space and time into a new world with an entirely different set of circumstances. In my world, we had only begun the atomic age. To be here, in the midst of a post-atomic age, illustrates everything we'd feared. I am so s But I am glad to see that there are those who did not see survival as an option but a necessity.
As it is, I myself am glad to be here with you all. Thank you to the medical staff who oriented me to this world. There was some talk of having friends here. I do hope that is the case. But to those I do not know, I am also quite glad to say hello and meet you for the first time. I hope that we shall all be good neighbours.

If I could have permission, I'd like to requisition one of the recovered pods for parts to use towards development of an item which I am about to propose.
I once assisted Nikola Tesla in the development of a weapon that can be used for non-lethal electrical stunning and disruption. I have my own version of this weapon here should anyone wish for a demonstration of the capabilities that I have in mind. The so-called 'Tesla' has been used for over a century as the standard issue weapon in the agency for which it was developed.
Given the limited ammunition available for the guns here, and the severe damage or death caused when someone does use them, I think it would be preferable to have an alternative and renewable means of defense. I would like to work on recreating the 'Tesla' technology.

Damnit. I need to take a break from the microscope. Anyone up for an scaled-down, improv version of -- I don't know -- Call of Cthulhu. I'm open to just having it be creative without all the rules for the most part. Still need Sanity Points, though. I'll even be storyteller even. I just need something that involves me being around people for a few hours.

It has come to my attention that Dean Winchester is not the current holder of Return of the King, and that it may in fact have been lifted without permission from a common area.
Library books are meant to be returned to the library when the reader has finished with them. They are not meant to be hoarded in private or taken out of turn. Those of us who read depend upon this principle. When members of the community do not abide by the laws of the community, order breaks down and chaos reigns.

It is certainly a blessing that we are able to make our way out of doors, although justifiably within a certain perimeter of Mount Weather. It becomes so gloomy underground, with only these man-made lighting to provide illumination. And it doesn't only affect us adults; the children amongst us are as susceptible to the melancholy that lays low even the strongest of us. A few weeks ago, I was approached by one of the parents to make her daughter a stuffed animal, and I like to think that I did fairly well. In any case, it has helped her exceedingly in feeling more at ease. I'd like to offer all of the children here a stuffed animal or two, should they like one. I've a few made up, and have been working in my spare time to make others. So far I have a cat, dog, rabbit, and a frog.
I believe that this evening I might begin going through a few likely boxes, in hopes of finding sheet music. Would anyone like to join me?
