I feel the need to say something for the safety of our community.

And before anyone starts in on me for being anonymous, I want you to stop and think about the fact that the punishment for treason is execution. We haven’t been down here long, and I don’t like the way things have been going, and I don’t want to find a gun at the back of my head because I said the wrong thing and somebody in charge decides it’s part of a plot.

So here it is: I don’t think getting tied this closely to the Grounders is a good idea.

Their first response to seeing us, when all we did was land, was to attack. Not “hey there,” not even “who the hell are you?” They rolled up and kidnapped a kid and left him to die on a tree. That’s their idea of a warning. They’ve shown signs over and over of being a brutal culture. This whole “blood must have blood” thing? That’s really something we want to be part of? I thought we were supposed to be moving away from the whole Ark philosophy of “you screwed up, now you’re dead.” Finn Collins should have been brought to justice, but not like that. The person who gave scared teenagers guns and thought they’d make good decisions with them should have been brought to justice, too, but you know we’re not going to see that happen. The Grounders decide who’s guilty, and then the Grounders torture them to death unless somebody steps in with a mercy killing. Looks to me like if we join up with the Grounders, we subject ourselves to their laws, and those laws don’t look like they have anything to do with justice. They’re about revenge. I don’t want to see any more kids die because adults put them in a situation there was no getting out of.

And that’s not even touching on how we ended up here at Mount Weather.

The Grounders do not, and will never, consider us their people. It doesn’t matter how much we try to fall in line with them. Even when we have the exact same goal, they don’t give a damn for us. They were willing to let our kids be drained of every single drop of their blood to get their own people back. They trusted the Mountain Men, who they had fought for years and years, to keep their word rather than trusting us to get in. We can learn their language and follow their rules and stick to their borders all we want, but when it comes down to it, they’re always going to sell us out if it benefits them. Right now Trikru hates Azgeda, but if there’s another enemy out there, they’ll still pick Azgeda over us. They like us when we’re convenient, and they’ll kill us when we’re not.

This alliance is a mistake. Honestly, the best thing we could do is get some of these Pod people who can travel long distances easily to help us find a genuinely uninhabited place where we can start over and get the hell out of here. No alliance with the Grounders is ever going to get us anything but death.

Normally I'm all respectful and shit, but this isn't an opportunity I'd like, ever have. Ever.

Now that we've put some distance between ourselves and what happened in Storybrooke, I wanted to see how you're all managing. I haven't had a damn clue what to say or think about the whole thing. I know it's going to take some time, and you don't need to take me up on this, but if any of you need to talk it out, my door's always open for you. Whatever you need. This goes for what happened back here, or anything else. We're in this together.

Has anyone seen Cassandra? Or Leia? I've been looking for them both for a couple of hours and I can't seem to pin them down.

Hey so, let's say you've been dating this guy for a few years. And it was great at first! The guy shared a lot of your ideals for activism and how you can get involved in your local community and grow organic. It was great! He was great! You were great together!

But over the years... you grew up.

And he... moved into a tree.

Like, okay, so it started off great. The tree was endangered, no one wanted to cut down a hundreds year-old tree. And it worked! The tree was saved!

But... the guy still lives in the tree and refuses to come down. Ever.

How long do you wait before you realize that he loves that tree more than he loves you? I know, I know! It's not about that, and I shouldn't be so selfish, but it's a damn tree. And I can't keep getting splinters just because I want to visit my boyfriend.

I just managed to get to the Farmer's Market before the turnovers were gone. I'm not sure what the mayor puts in them that makes them so delicious, but I look forward to them all winter.

I'm glad spring seems to have finally decided to stick around.

I swear, if not for yoga class I'd go totally crazy. Ben, you are an absolute lifesaver. I miss doing inversions, though! No headstands with baby on board. :( The belly is big enough to make Wheel awkward now, too, so I'm back down to just doing Bridge.

Alison's got the shop today, so everyone who likes smelling good should go see her at Bare Necessities! The spring scents are in, and if I do say so myself, they are beautiful.

Also, we're looking for some part-time help! If you have a nose for perfumes and fine bath products and a passion for helping people feel their best, come have a chat with us ASAP!

There's been some shuffling of the military lately, which I'm sure will be common-place here, since we never know who'll leave or arrive when. As long as we keep an open mind about that and welcome any newcomers with open arms, I think we'll be good here. We'll meet up Friday morning to show Ahsoka what we know. And vice versa.

And as a reminder, I don't want to see anyone falling for that Starbucks out front, us or anyone else. I know people miss coffee, but remember what Sergeant Pentaghast said the other week. If you see anyone there, try to talk them out of it before half the mountain is God knows what. Better safe than sorry, no matter how appealing the treats are.
