Well. I am going to this Singles Night thing and I hope I don't end up sitting in the corner watching everyone else hook up. Which is usually my luck. But there will be alcohol so there's that.

Right then, rather than everyone writing at once, why don't we consolidate our information in one location so that we can reference it in the event that someone's parents or guardians show?

Ok, I think I finally got a handle on this new place enough to introduce myself. Hey everyone. I'm Fn Fin? Finn? Fyn? Fynne? Finn. Yeah, Finn. I like how that looks. They assigned me to being a scout. I'm still getting used to what people do for fun around here, but any game that shows everyone how awesome my buddy Rey is can't be that bad. I might have to try out Capture the Flag next time it's done.

Oh, and Maz. Trying to narrow it down between blue, orange, and green-brown.

Are we taking any time off from morning runs because of fight club. Or push through the soreness and the sick?

Fight Club might have just been the best fun I've ever had while I was losing. I can't even be mad that I didn't make it past the first round. Logan, I owe you drinks until my bruises heal.

Fight Club on Friday; same time and place as last time. Let Evie and I know if you're interested. Let's skip having a battle beforehand, yeah? That was ill-advised.

The rules for those of you who are new drop-ins: no props, no weapons, no powers save those you can't help. All levels of experience welcome. First one to go down and stay down loses; the winner goes on to the next round until everyone's had a go. The matches are random so no whinging at me if you don't fancy your partner. First time you cheat, you're out and that's that. Last month's winner was that Russian bloke whose name I can't be arsed to look up to spell properly, but he gets first dibs on his partner. Congrats again, mate.

Thinking of something else, too; see if it drudges up any interest. Anyone without much background in fighting or self-defense - do you want lessons? I could use a project. I'm only human but I learned young, and have practical knowledge of how to get a bruiser off your back. Don't believe in following specific artsy-fartsy styles of fighting much, but I do believe in being able to defend yourself. Drop me a line if this might be something you fancy.

Ah, now for the rest of you. So many interesting people here. Strong presences of the force. It's a good thing there are no sith. I must say, I was not expecting to come here as I have a castle to rebuild and salvage. This seems like a most curious place though.


Names, ah yes, I suppose I should use one. Maz Kanata, but most people just call me Maz. I must admit, I miss my treasures, but I suppose this world holds plenty of its own treasures which simply needs to be discovered.

I feel many of you, but many of you feel strange. I should like to meet you all properly if I can.

I thought I knew too well already what war could do to a planet. I've been taken away from my duties in the middle of one myself, and my homeworld has seen more than its share of conflict in the last ten years. But the war that ravaged this planet is a kind of tragedy I've hardly dared to so much as consider possible in the past. To those of you who are native here, I'm sorry this has happened to your world. I can't imagine the loss, but to have suffered it only makes your perseverance that much more admirable.

But all this when I only meant to introduce myself.
