Tell me there are more of you not complaining about being quarantined. I'd rather make sure that everyone is safe personally, though I'm no scientist or doctor here when it comes to keeping people safe from illness. The only scientist I knew had...less than conventional means sometimes.

I can't believe I

I know we're all recovering from what happened and Christmas is right around the corner — I don't want to pile too hard on anyone's plate, but I wanted to make everyone aware of where I've been.

I flew out to the Raven Rock Mountain Complex in Pennsylvania, another nuclear bunker like this one. In the war, it housed important Pentagon employees, but as far as I can tell they didn't survive like the community at Mount Weather. Still trying to figure out exactly what happened. They might have run out of food. I didn't get too involved in searching for answers yet. There's no evidence of slaughter, at least, but I will say this: the place isn't ... abandoned. It's Creepsville. Seriously.

So: I need to put together a small team to head out there after the new year to pick through what they have and bring back any usable supplies. It's mostly salvage and scrap metal at this point, but we can always use that.

Volunteer if you:

• Have flight or teleportation ability over long distances.


• Have some military and/or survival training.


• Are over age 18.

If we have a teleporter capable of taking other people alone we might consider people who can't fly, but because of weather, supplies, and the situation with the Grounders, we can't risk any kind of long-distance travel on foot.

All volunteers need to be approved by myself and the Council. We're not risking lives by taking someone out who's unprepared or lies about being qualified.

As much as I'd love to blame this lovely thing on residual effects of Utopium, even I can't see hallucinations happening weeks after. So it's got to be a prank, yeah? Ha ha, Major. COMMAND AND MILITARY:

I met with a group of Grounder warriors this afternoon at the perimeter. They told me that Commander Lexa is on her way here to meet with the Council, but they wouldn't say what she wants to discuss. She'll be here in two weeks.

They're setting up a camp about a mile from the perimeter, so we're not going have to put them up or let them in, but when Lexa gets here she'll bring an envoy with her. We're going to want to increase security and prepare accordingly. We should also send them rations, blankets, and cold weather clothes as a show of good faith. I know we're short on everything but make it a priority.

HAWKE, LIRAEL, DAINE, ANIMAGI*:

What do people do here when they aren't fulfilling their jobs? Survival seems the most important thing to focus on here, which makes sense. I'm used to training and fighting as well. Does anyone else feel out of place here without other people they know? Or without a familiar motive?

Gale's gone. If anyone else around here is half-decent at surviving in the wilderness, I could use help teaching the class. There are a lot of students and I'm the only teacher left.

Did you all know there's a herd of tame horses about twenty miles from here? Something happened to their village and they've just been out on their own in the wild since then. After the battle this weekend, several of our people have been bitten which means they will transform into werewolves. None of them want to hurt people or cause a repeat of what happened over the last few months, so we're looking into a place to contain them for that one night. Some place away from the general population so that if they do manage to get loose, we won't have a repeat of the werewolf being in close proximity to the civilian population.

The place we are researching to see if it will work has a whole blasted in the upper deck. Your expertise and skills with metal would be immeasurable.
