The 100; a panfandom game

Uh, so. First of all, hey!

We're back from our trip out to Raven Rock. We've got supplies and samples, and we managed to figure out what happened to the people who were holed up there.

... Which means Martha thinks it's best if we're all quarantined until further notice, just until we all get totally clean bills of health. The disease that got Raven Rock shouldn't still be viable, but we're not taking any chances.

So we're all here, we just can't have welcome-back hugs just yet. And you can't hug the stuff we brought back, either. Give it a couple days and we'll be all good.

Maybe I will go out again until you all go back to normal. I don't like this.

I can't believe I

I know we're all recovering from what happened and Christmas is right around the corner — I don't want to pile too hard on anyone's plate, but I wanted to make everyone aware of where I've been.

I flew out to the Raven Rock Mountain Complex in Pennsylvania, another nuclear bunker like this one. In the war, it housed important Pentagon employees, but as far as I can tell they didn't survive like the community at Mount Weather. Still trying to figure out exactly what happened. They might have run out of food. I didn't get too involved in searching for answers yet. There's no evidence of slaughter, at least, but I will say this: the place isn't ... abandoned. It's Creepsville. Seriously.

So: I need to put together a small team to head out there after the new year to pick through what they have and bring back any usable supplies. It's mostly salvage and scrap metal at this point, but we can always use that.

Volunteer if you:

• Have flight or teleportation ability over long distances.


• Have some military and/or survival training.


• Are over age 18.

If we have a teleporter capable of taking other people alone we might consider people who can't fly, but because of weather, supplies, and the situation with the Grounders, we can't risk any kind of long-distance travel on foot.

All volunteers need to be approved by myself and the Council. We're not risking lives by taking someone out who's unprepared or lies about being qualified.

I wasn't sure my life could get anymore completely fucked up, but somehow it has managed.

I arrived yesterday. It's over a hundred years in the future for me here. I guess things don't turn out so well for Earth or the people on it. All of my advocating for climate change did absolutely bloody hell, so there's that.

Ugh. Stop being negative, Emily. This is a grand adventure, right?

Fuck it all. I'm Emily Fitch and I'm probably a fangirl of at least half of you. Because I've been spending the past two years doing nothing but watching telly and reading comics. I will not apologize for swooning when I meet Harry Potter.

So, I've been thinking.

It's definitely not easy being in a new place all alone, as a lot of us are, or at least without most of our friends/family/other loved ones, and I've seen people talking about being bored/that there isn't enough to do here, which I totally get. When I'm done working, sometimes all I want to do is stare at the wall because I think I work more continuous hours here than I did at home and it's not as varied (superhero work might not pay well, but it's never exactly the same!), and when everyone is busy with their jobs at different hours, that doesn't leave as much time to randomly chat up that cute person in the hallway as you might think. It's easy to think, oh, I can do that tomorrow or they're probably on their way somewhere, I shouldn't bug them. But I think this is the perfect place to throw caution to the wind and go for something if you really want it. What do you have to lose? We never know what the future has in store for us, here or anywhere else, and it's going to be a long winter.

So, I'm hosting a SPEED DATING night on Saturday! The idea is you'll get a few minutes to chat with someone awesome, and maybe you'll really hit it off and get to take them to movie night. Or you might just meet a new friend, who knows! Either way, you'll meet people and get to hang out and have fun.

Johnny and I have an announcement!



We're throwing a Halloween party.

Technically it's a festival, and I know that a bunch of scary monsters and things like that probably aren't super appealing, so it'll be more... just fun. We'll have games and not-scary Halloween stuff. And some scarier stuff for anyone who likes that, but we're really trying to make a good mix, so everyone can have fun.

I'm not going to tell you about everything we're doing, but if someone wants to volunteer to run a murder mystery game, or be part of the haunted house, hit me up.

And if you want to help us with decorations and games, let one of us know! We'll need the help to get it all together, but I promise it'll be a lot of fun.

I'm not really sure how we're going about bringing other people into this, but I guess we're probably a democracy, so: I invited Johnny Storm. Yes/hell yes? He's the only one from his world here, so I think he could use some friends. He's pretty cool.

If I were in England, and this were 1824, such an announcement as this would be printed in the newspapers, or given at a ball. My own father would take care of it, or the head of my family -- or, in many cases, the bridegroom. In any case, I am overjoyed to tell you all, our friends and neighbors, that this evening Cullen asked me to give him my hand in marriage. I, naturally, said yes, because I love him.

Perhaps to some, the notion of marriage isn't as important as it is elsewhere, but I believe that it is. Pledging to love and honor another, to share your life with them formally, and to celebrate that love with one's friends and family is even more necessary here. We haven't yet set a date, but that will be coming soon.
