So everyone's been asking about Christmas and holidays and stuff, and I know a lot of people aren't from earth or an earth with holidays like Christmas an Hanukkah. I was in the same boat, when I was a teenager my world was destroyed and I was transported to Earth. (I was stuck in stasis first but that's another story.) I'll save any deep descriptions of the holidays and meanings of them for people who are Christian and Jewish, but growing up, my foster parents and sister always had a few traditions. One of them was a "Secret Santa" gift exchange on Christmas Eve! We teamed up with the whole family, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc, and we'd all draw names. You get one name and you have to come up with a gift for that person and keep it a secret, not telling the person that you got them.

As half of us were kids, we made gifts or found things that made us think of the other person. Very homemade, very inexpensive. Then on Christmas eve, everyone gets together and we have hot cocoa and a movie, exchange gifts and everyone finds out who their Secret Santa was. Then everyone bonds and we laugh over the silly things we made/got, and maybe make some new friendships along the way? :D Anyway, if enough people are interested, I'll put up a sign up form and we can draw names next week.
