Good afternoon.

For those of you who do not know me, I am Cullen Rutherford, and going forward, I will be your sergeant. I am not particular about matters of address; call me Sergeant, Cullen, or Rutherford as you like.

To provide some general information on myself: I have been here at Mount Weather since the month they call May here. Before that I was Commander of the Army of the Inquisition in Thedas, and prior to that, Knight-Captain of the Templars at Kirkwall. I have been in some form of military service since I was thirteen years old. My background is primarily in melee combat and battle strategy. My weapons of choice are sword and shield, I am reasonably competent with daggers and bows, and I've become a decent shot with a rifle since my arrival here.

I would appreciate it if each of you would respond here to give me some idea of your skills and aspirations, that I may determine how we can best work together to become an effective unit. Seeker, I know you and your skills already, of course, but the others would probably like an introduction.

Right so, sorry about the rat. Won't happen again! I underestimated the cages, and Ash exceeded my expectations as far as subjects go. But thankfully no one was harmed, and I think the hunters had a rather good time tracking him down? Either way, still very, very sorry.

On another topic, would anyone be interested in joining together to create a weekly Dungeons & Dragons campaign? I know the rules and can type them up for everyone who wants to join, and actually have a 3.5e character sheet template on my phone that came through. Useless for almost everything else, but there's that.

For anyone that doesn't know what D&D is, it's a tabletop role-playing game, fantasy based. You create a character on paper with stats and characteristics, and form a team where your characters go up against all sorts of evils and quest on adventures.


I suppose lack of dice would be a problem, unless someone could make a set. Or an application on our tablets that does randomized rolling for all dice from d4 to d20.

I have a confession to make. The secret organisation that hunts aliens? All a cover. In reality I run a small but growing haberdashery business. I'm not even actually Welsh, I just like the accent. And my fantasy threesome is Yoda and Gollum.

Is there anything we can do to help?

So, this isn't going to make me any friends, but why don't we just let Emerson die? We know damn well he did what we're debating, and he's just a drain if we stick him in a cell. Nobody wants to take care of him, and if he ever gets free, he's just dangerous. Or just dump him in the snow and let him freeze. This trial is just drawing things out for no good reason.

Ummmmm hi. This is supposed to be an introduction and all I'm doing is standing around like a dummy saying wow. I'm Kara and I'm a new arrival. Or not stupid, just weird. But anyway, I need to do some testing of mine because of the radiation and other science mumbo-jumbo that I didn't really understand and I could use a partner?

Couple of weeks back. Got my utility belt during the drop. Contains some scaling equipment, acetylene Torch, couple of explosives and a detonator. Also a forensic kit, which I'm willing to donate to Law Enforcement as a show of good faith.

Tech - that's one less piece of the batsuit to worry about.

I know nobody wants to be stuck in this mountain all winter. But it's a good time to work on learning our the Grounders' native language. You may need it once spring comes if the treaty holds.

I'm overdue in thanking those that were helpful to me during the transitional arrival period. It's still - frankly - bizarre to lack a secret identity, but I appreciate the part where none of you tried to arrest or kill me. So, thanks. We touched something real, guys. Never forget that.

I understand that there's some apprehension regarding our new trading rules with the Grounders. It's a given, of course, that they'll take advantage, or we'll take advantage, and something will go downright medieval in its implosion. Little's perfect. The good news is that we're well-protected and we have active, involved leadership to help us keep the problems contained and dealt-with on a case-by-case basis. If there's an issue, bring it up. We'll solve it together.

Because I'm going to know if you don't.

COMMAND AND MILITARY:

I met with a group of Grounder warriors this afternoon at the perimeter. They told me that Commander Lexa is on her way here to meet with the Council, but they wouldn't say what she wants to discuss. She'll be here in two weeks.

They're setting up a camp about a mile from the perimeter, so we're not going have to put them up or let them in, but when Lexa gets here she'll bring an envoy with her. We're going to want to increase security and prepare accordingly. We should also send them rations, blankets, and cold weather clothes as a show of good faith. I know we're short on everything but make it a priority.
