I would like one or both of you to find your way to medical as soon as possible. Cullen Rutherford brought his fiancée, Penelope Featherington, into medical a little while ago. She was overdosing on morphine, but she will be fine now. We're trying to figure out just how this happened, but there's nothing to indicate definitively that Cullen himself did this. There are no marks on Penelope's body to indicate that she was dosed via a syringe or otherwise ingested the morphine.

I would like a search of their quarters and assistance in further questioning of Commander Rutherford in order to discover just how she managed to ingest such a large quantity of morphine while the only person with access to her at the time was the commander.**




** (ooc: the search will reveal no foreign objects in their quarters, including no syringes, no old bottles filled with laudanum, nothing to indicate that Penelope was poisoned by an outside source.)

So, guns. Guns are interesting. I only hit myself in the face with the recoil once on Monday, and I'm calling that a victory.

Also, can I just say that zippers are great. Thedas doesn't have zippers. I'm a big fan.

We'll be taking volunteers to sign up for guard duty around the werewolf shelter, please let me know. I will be taking those who are immune to werewolf bites and scratches first. Then everyone else will be on a case by case basis.

CLARKE:

We're going to need an ambassador to treat with the Grounders. We need them to understand that we don't wish to break the terms of the truce, but we need the ability to go outside of the perimeter for supplies. Would you be willing?

LOKI:

Are you quite sure you're interested in staying in childcare?

Our final test run for the accommodations is this week. I'll need all hands on deck at the location for this run. If you are unable to be gone for a few days, please let me know immediately.

We've lost several of our friends recently, so I thought now would be a good time to spend some time together, all of us. Play some cards, listen to music, whatever you crazy kids do these days. We spend a lot of time - or at least I do - with our jobs around here, and sometimes other things get pushed aside.

Katniss, Alison: I do not believe you were informed last night, but I had to bring Penelope to Medical yesterday evening for what the doctors have discovered was a morphine overdose. You will all be pleased to know that the doctors say Penelope will make a full recovery. They are still trying to determine how she received such a large dose of morphine in the first place, but she is feeling much better now. Staring at the screen still makes her a bit dizzy, but she says I am to tell you that she is now "at home to visitors" if any of you wish to come by and see her.

Thank you all for coming to sit with me last night. You were an immeasurable help.

Having questioned me twice, the doctors and the guard are apparently now convinced that I did not in fact poison my betrothed. They do not, however, know how this happened yet. A search of our quarters turned up nothing out of the ordinary, likewise the kitchens and the mess hall and the clothing-makers work area. There have been no other reports of anyone else getting sick. Dr. Crusher took blood from me to be analyzed by the lab, to see if I have any traces of the drug, as that might help determine its origin; she assures me that the blood will not be involved in any magic. We are now waiting on results. That is all the news I have for now.
