I hate to admit that I am in need of assistance. One of the customers in my bakery today asked if I was going to participate in 'trick or treating'... and then proceeded to explain that children will dress as ghosts and vampires and go door to door begging for food. I do not understand this part of the holiday. Is this a common tradition? What does it mean?

I should hope I will not be expected to give away free food all day on October 31st. I would rather remain closed

Going to school here has been different.. I'm not used to the things their teaching.
