I guess I won one of those gift baskets from the Fall Festival yesterday. I never win anything so I was a little surprised.

Anyway, the damn thing is filled with pastries and I don't have much of a sweet tooth. I'd hate for them to go stale. If D was here I'd just bring them to him. I don't suppose there's anyone who's be interested in swinging by for tea and pastries?

I was given the most enormous basket of sweet things today. It's practically the best thing that has happened to me since I arrived here, and it was a splendid surprise. It reminds me of when my Aunt Alexia used to send me parcels at school, with cakes and chocolates, because she thought the school food was utterly horrid. Naturally, I didn't correct her.

I never thought I would win the grand prize for the raffle, but I did! I am so going to enjoy four days and three nights of luxury and relaxation.

I won the festival raffle and got free bowling games. I'm not sure what bowling is. Also movie tickets, which I like, although I've found that not every movie is good.

Chocolate, on the other hand, is never a let down.
