Sage was always looking for a reason to get out of the house, so he’d jumped at the chance to have drinks with Olivia and Thea. In fact, he was early for once, mostly because he’d expected it to take him so much longer to get to the bar on crutches than it actually had. Finding them a table, he ordered himself a drink and began to watch for the girls, not entirely sure they’d spot him. He’d gotten bored and changed his hair from red to dark blue, one of his favorites and slower to fade than the red.

If anyone would like the glass around their pod door painted for Christmas, I'm looking to make a few extra Christmas credits. You can drop by my pod if you'd like to see a sample of my work. I also painted up the windows of the pub in town. I can do just about anything, but can only go as high as a 12 foot ladder will let me reach! Let me know if you're interested!

Sage couldn't sit still. This wasn't anything new, but being bored alone was always worse than being bored with company, and he'd gone out of his way to find something to entertain himself. That was how he found himself up a tree in the first place, for no particular reason other than that he could be and there was no one around to tell him not to. It was a fine idea, and gave him a great view, until he slipped, cursing loudly and falling several feet before catching himself on the lowest branch, the lower half of his body dangling towards the ground.

So - I had the date that I got matched up with. And... she actually wants to see me again? Even though it was really kinda awkward and honestly, I think you're basically the only girl I can talk to without feeling like a total idiot.

YOUR IDEAL MATE IS AN INFJ

Thea hadn’t said much since she’d been made to stop CPR. She’d never seen anyone die before, never been around for anything like that. She never wanted to go through that again, either. All she could think of was one second this poor guy was asleep in his bed (presumably), and the next - killed by robots. Robots that were supposed to help the citizens of New Eden. Robots that weren’t meant to one day flip out and start attacking her Dean’s house.

It was something that really shocked her to her core, and she was having a little trouble getting herself out of it. Dean hadn’t left, and she’d spent half the night curled up with him on the couch, not asleep, just silently staring into nothing as she tried to process this whole thing. Only it wasn’t processing. She’d read the ‘note’ from whoever ran this place about six hundred times now, and it didn’t magically unlock to contain a deeper message as to why someone died during what appeared to amount to an overblown fire drill.

The alarms started momentarily before the banging. One was shocking enough, but the thuds on the outside of his pod seemed to shake the very structure. Maybe it didn't seem that way from the outside, but inside had him worrying about the very structural integrity of the pod.

Dean was awake, dressed and down the stairs in a moment, communication device strapped to his wrist and already trying to find a way to mass dial everyone who lived in the neighbourhood. He knew the 'bots weren't programmed to do this, something must have gone wrong. "Fuck, don't know if this will work," he swore under his breath, then loudly said, "Time to get up folks, if the banging and the alarms didn't clue you in. Not got the first bloody clue what's going on, but some help would be appreciated cos apparently I'm under attack."

...This seems to have turned into a more permanent arrangement. That's fine. Roll with the punches, right?

Sure, the thing was a bit weird, but Ryker didn't care in the slightest. Exodus was fully stocked, the lights dimmed just right, and his DJ stand was set up perfectly. He kind of like the feel of the charm bracelet on his wrist, pleased with the subway token and DJ equipment charms he'd been given. He almost didn't want to give them away.

One song rolled into another, the deep bass came out of the speakers and subs in a way that he could feel in his bones, even if he was only listening in the headphones he was wearing. Required attendance or not, he was determined to make sure at least people had a soundtrack for a good time.

What: Johnny's pretty sure this isn't what he signed on for.
Where: Outside the monorail station by the Nest.

His first clue that something was wrong was when he arrived at the island and it looked deserted. Maybe his first clue should've been when they took his luggage (his one bag, anyway, he'd stubbornly held on to his fiddle case) but hell, he'd never traveled quite like this before, he'd just assumed that's the way things were done.

But walking around the island's theme park--he'd never thought of theme parks as creepy until he got to this totally empty one--he started getting the feeling he wasn't in Kansas anymore. By the time he'd started thinking about heading right back to the ship, he found that the boat that had brought him in to the island was no longer there. At that point, the only place to go was to the monorail station he'd been told about. That trip had been an adventure in and of itself with the train shuddering to a stop at random intervals. The first couple of times, he waited quietly, hoping it was just a fluke and just about the time he started losing patience, the lights would flicker back on and they'd start moving again. By the sixth or seventh time, he'd settled into cursing the damn machinery and telling himself he was just going to get out and try heading down via walkway he could see just along the track.

When that time finally came, he at least was able to comfort himself that he was within view of a lit station. It was just that by the time he got down there and out onto the road(?) he had no idea of where to go next. Some robot had greeted him but he wasn't entirely sure he wasn't still in some extension of the theme park above and this was all just some kind of creepy show.

So he was left wandering in the vague direction of what he hoped was some place inhabited by actual people because if he found only more robots, he was pretty sure he was going to scream. And that would just be embarrassing.

How is everyone? Hope the black outs aren't messing anyone's day up. But if you want an escort from point A to B, I'll totally come walk anyone anywhere! :) I wanted to go for a walk anyways.
