New Eden - City of Tomorrow!

Who: Clementine, Nico, Sion, and Julian
Where: Outside the Spa

Dressed in a long, flowing white cotton maxi dress, Clementine had arrived at the spa earlier than the time she'd indicated to hand out tickets. She wanted to make sure she didn't miss anyone on their journey to get pampered and center themselves again. While she waited she decided to braid her hair, mostly for something to do with her hands but also to keep her braiding skills sharp. All the while she kept her eyes out for anyone who looked like they might also be looking for someone as they came up toward the spa.

This may not be a popular opinion, certainly not with the person or persons that desecrated several homes last night, but - does it really matter?

Apparently, there are people among us that, under their skin, are actually robots. Seemingly their disguise is good enough that not only are we not able to tell that they are human, but they themselves may not even know.

Surely that brings up a whole host of arguments about what makes someone human.

So - does it really matter, what they are? And, if it does - can someone explain to me why is matters?

Cillian walked into Nico’s shop with a hint of nervousness and a bag in one hand. He wasn’t sure if his request was something the tailor did, or could do, before the party, but he had to ask. He certainly couldn’t do it himself. At least if the answer was no, he could still have his pants fitted to him, something he’d never done before, but Kyle had recommended it and he had the feeling Kyle knew what he was talking about. Cillian definitely didn’t.

Nico was nervous. He'd never made anything for a child before and he'd spent more time than he would admit to thinking about the practicalities. It was find for an adult - they'd tell you what they wanted their clothes for. Generally, they didn't want highly tailored and fashionable suits to go play in the mud with.

...Well, not most of his clients, anyway. There had been a few... odd ones, over the years.

With a child, though, you had to make it look good in a way that wouldn't stop them from being a child. And children should play.

He was fairly happy with the end result though, which he had hanging in the side room that he used for a changing room. It was larger than a normal changing room, designed for privacy, yet also to allow Nico to work - take measurements and alterations as required. Against one of the shorter walls stood three full high mirrors, the two side ones angled in towards each other. Before them was a round stand, about a foot high, to raise Nico's subject up and save his back a little when shortening trousers.

Thick carpets was underfoot and a chaise lounge rested against the wall opposite the door. The coffee table in front of it was set out with a selection of china tea cups, with saucers, a tea pot, a pot of coffee, milk, orange juice and a selection of little cakes and pastries.

Yes, there was more than the slightest possibility that Nico was nervous and trying too hard to make a good impression.

I have the first outfit for Jackson done, if you wanted to call in when it was convenient and have him try it on. That way I can make any alterations that are needed.

If you let me know when you're coming, I'll also stick the kettle on and we can have tea, or coffee if you'd like.

The night had been high tension. Fighting robots and running to make sure people were okay wasn't something that had been on Nico's agenda, but he thought he'd rolled with it okay. He'd thought that everyone had rolled with it - until he'd woken up the next morning and read that some poor bastard had died.

It wasn't anyone he knew, but that was hardly the point. People didn't come here to die, far from their friends, loved ones, people who they'd known and who knew them. And if they did die here, they deserved to be remembered. Which was why he'd been sat at his sewing machine since three minutes after he'd heard the news, crafting the silks he used for lining fabrics into things other than their purpose.

It was what had him in the park after midday, piles of flags at his feet - nothing national, he didn't know where the dead guy had come from - but colours and celebration. He realised, however, that he hadn't thought things through properly. He had flags, but nothing to hang them from. So it was that he ended up trying to hang his flags from low branches, hoping that the message would get across.

Ethan's first reaction to the alarm was to groan. Olivia set off the fire alarm. Again. He shouted her name and buried his head under a pillow, but the clanging and the flashing brought him fully awake. That wasn't a fire alarm. Olivia didn't live here anymore. He sat up, looking around then grabbing a pair of sweats as he hopped out of bed and hopping out of the house.

The alarms were still going off, but more importantly the robots were going insane. Three were crowded around the newest neighbor's house, the one worked out in the afternoons and Ethan made a point of watching from his couch with popcorn. He was eventually going to meet the guy. Ethan jumped when a loud bang rang out, and he realized it was from the robots at sexy man's house. He bounced twice then turned away, headed right for Ben's pod and pounding on that door. "Ben!"
