Fulfilled Wishes
Who: Connor and Raelyn
Setting: Connor's pod
With the flashing lights, Connor was on higher alert than usual. He was used to any sort of breakdown of major structure causing chaos and while there hadn't been chaos on the island yet, that didn't mean he wasn't prepared for it. And by prepared for it, he meant being on his third whiskey of the day. The glass felt familiar in his hand, another reminder that drunks drank out of the bottle, not glasses, which meant he was better than his father or any other drunk he'd known.
He hadn't gotten his hopes too high up with Raelyn, sure he'd have to wait longer than he would like to see her again. But he did hope he saw her again, provide the circumstances were right. If she was upset or hurt, that he wouldn't want, but just seeing her, being close to her, the possibility of that was enough to keep him going. Still, he didn't take it as more than that, just a possibility. She might eventually come by, when she felt like it was a good idea or safe.
