During the black out I was able to get my hands on one of the robots. Pretty easy to steal and then put back, though my body is raging at me for pulling muscles of all kinds.

Couldn't find a single thing about anything. Due to the fact the fucking thing fried my laptop. It's processor is way too strong for even my laptop to handle. Think that's telling you something right there.

Cause of this impending doom of a storm, and things shutting down left and right, does that mean we don't have to appear at our jobs? Or does this only imply to the software for brains?

All citizens get the announcement on their wrist communicator. The center park has been decked out with grills, picnic baskets, etc. There are robot party clowns around, a few stray robot dogs, etc. There's music playing, and different stations to play some simple carnival games. There are prizes as well for the winners, including stuffed animals of varying sizes, coupons for the various businesses in New Eden and other trinkets.

Drinks are flowing very freely as well, with free beer being the main attraction.

So...we're just all gonna not address the part about this gift basket promising us that this is a safe place to be?

That's not completely concerning to anyone else?

Did everyone else receive a random gift basket?

I really don't want to be the only one, and already have a weird stalker.

Shane was happy someone was coming over to spend some time with him. He had pretty much come to the conclusion that whatever he'd been promised when he'd come here was bogus. There was no conference. He hadn't heard a thing about it, and when he tried to search for information on it, there was nothing. So, he'd just started to drink, because what the hell else was he going to do? He'd thought this was going to be a good jumping off point for his real passions, and instead... he had no idea what was actually happening.

So, he'd started downing some scotch, and when the girl had posted on the 'net, he'd replied back. Now she was on her way, and he was looking forward to company. So much so that he was in fact flashing his lights like there was a rave going on in there so she'd easily pick out which one was his. Being alone right now was a very bad plan.

You know you've won a drinking contest when you don't remember all that much.

Setting: Monorail stop outside the Nest

It hadn't escaped Maggie's notice that there seemed to be a large number of people arriving today. The monorail had been dropping people off outside of the Nest fairly consistently and, since Maggie was a curious soul by nature, she ended up taking her embroidery bag and seating herself outside the little monorail stop for their community, determined to strike up a conversation with the next new arrival - and equally determined to progress with the handkerchief set she was embroidering with her initials, surrounded by little pink roses. They would go perfectly with her nurses' uniform and she simply loved little touches.

Not that she was in uniform today, of course, but she was looking forward to heading into work tomorrow and finding out what new challenges waited for her. In the meantime, she was dressed in her favourite off duty clothes - a high necked, short sleeved white shirt and a wide circle skirt with a floral pattern and white petticoats that came to her knees. It was simple, elegant and above all comfortable.

As the monorail drew to a stop before her, she looked up, letting her work settle into her lap as she waited for the doors to open.
