Who: Christian and Johnny
setting: the restaurant area

The whole tattoo idea, was a great one, right up until the adrenaline of getting one wore off and the pain set in. Then it was a bad idea. He felt like his side had been beat mercilessly and sort of hunched a little more than usual while ordering from one of the carts. He knew he needed to eat something, but he kind of wanted to crawl into a hole and die a little. Fuck, why did people do this? And in worse places!

He shifted down to one side of the cart once his order was in, waiting for the food to show up, half holding his side.

Party Like the World Is Ending

Who: OPEN TO EVERYONE
Setting: Exodus

Sure, the thing was a bit weird, but Ryker didn't care in the slightest. Exodus was fully stocked, the lights dimmed just right, and his DJ stand was set up perfectly. He kind of like the feel of the charm bracelet on his wrist, pleased with the subway token and DJ equipment charms he'd been given. He almost didn't want to give them away.

One song rolled into another, the deep bass came out of the speakers and subs in a way that he could feel in his bones, even if he was only listening in the headphones he was wearing. Required attendance or not, he was determined to make sure at least people had a soundtrack for a good time.

So if someone, say anyone, doesn't attend this required party, does that mean we will suddenly find ourselves being taken to a meat grinder? Because that's what I'm getting out of it.

I never signed up for Tinder, so why the fuck would I want to hand some stranger a fucking charm I don't give a shit about. Did I get stuck on a swinger's island? Orgy every Sunday?

net post - this place is weird

I feel stupid for asking, but I was supposed to be here to help tourism, but even after getting to my...house? Is this a house? I haven't gotten any word on where to go for my first assignment, and can't seem to find it on the computer. Help?

Candelight

Who:Clementine and Johnny
Where: Outside her pod in Lark

When the lights began to flicker this time around, Clementine was ready. She packed her knitted knapsack with all the candles she had as well as a decent stash of weed, and slung her yoga mat across her back to head out of her pod. If she was going to be in the dark, she'd at least do it outside. Outside-ish.

She'd managed to get all of her candles set up in a large circle around her and lit, the little flames casting yellow light in a dome that covered her once she sat on her mat in the center of it. It took her only a moment to pack her glass pipe, take a hit, and close her eyes as the flickering lights finally petered out. Exhaling, she placed her hands palm down on her crossed knees and let herself float to the beginnings of a meditation.

this is NOT the resort he was looking for

Who: Johnny and OPEN
What: Johnny's pretty sure this isn't what he signed on for.
Where: Outside the monorail station by the Nest.

His first clue that something was wrong was when he arrived at the island and it looked deserted. Maybe his first clue should've been when they took his luggage (his one bag, anyway, he'd stubbornly held on to his fiddle case) but hell, he'd never traveled quite like this before, he'd just assumed that's the way things were done.

But walking around the island's theme park--he'd never thought of theme parks as creepy until he got to this totally empty one--he started getting the feeling he wasn't in Kansas anymore. By the time he'd started thinking about heading right back to the ship, he found that the boat that had brought him in to the island was no longer there. At that point, the only place to go was to the monorail station he'd been told about. That trip had been an adventure in and of itself with the train shuddering to a stop at random intervals. The first couple of times, he waited quietly, hoping it was just a fluke and just about the time he started losing patience, the lights would flicker back on and they'd start moving again. By the sixth or seventh time, he'd settled into cursing the damn machinery and telling himself he was just going to get out and try heading down via walkway he could see just along the track.

When that time finally came, he at least was able to comfort himself that he was within view of a lit station. It was just that by the time he got down there and out onto the road(?) he had no idea of where to go next. Some robot had greeted him but he wasn't entirely sure he wasn't still in some extension of the theme park above and this was all just some kind of creepy show.

So he was left wandering in the vague direction of what he hoped was some place inhabited by actual people because if he found only more robots, he was pretty sure he was going to scream. And that would just be embarrassing.
