Mazie wasn’t really a spa person. Even after all that Anja and Chase had said about it, she wasn’t really looking forward to going. She was standing outside the spa, hands tucked into the oversized, drawstring harem pants she wore and long, grungy blonde hair hanging down around her shoulders.

She had no idea who this Chase guy was but he’d better show up soon or she was going in without him. She had a reputation to uphold and standing outside of a spa wasn’t really in her vocabulary.

So I guess I have these spa tickets, which means I guess I'm going to the spa? I am not a spa person, though, so if anyone here is and doesn't have a ticket...you can have all of mine.

There's a FIRE happening in the park. AGAIN. And it looks like there are people being burnt!

SO AGAIN - FUCKING FIRE IN THE PARK. HELP REQUIRED.

When: Early Morning

Mazie didn't really sleep like normal people did, so she'd been up long enough to see her pod's grafitti and decide to take a walk. Mostly it was just to try and focus, to try and clear her head. Normally, she would have taken to her computer, but she'd needed a moment. Maybe Tad was right? Maybe she was the driving force behind this?

If she was, she was determined to find the person responsible and have some very choice words with them. She could understand the outrage, the activism it spawned, but if their words had anything to do with the literal pyres in the park, Mazie wasn't sure words would be enough.

As she got closer to the fire, she realized that there were shapes of bodies inside each pillar of flames. "Holy shit..." Typing furiously on her wrist comm, she darted toward the fire. Maybe she'd instigated this revolution, but this? This? This was a nightmare.

This is your fault. My fucking pod. Oh my god, I didn't even know you could string words together like this and not curse and make me feel bad. Ugh.

This is totally your fault. You and your stupid revolution.

Where: The Park

By the time all the decorations were up, the park had been transformed into a piece of Bourbon Street, complete with crowds of people looking to party. Lights were strung between the trees with the occasional banner indicating a drink stand or a food cart, adding to the atmosphere. There was even a dance floor in one corner with music piped in from unseen speakers. The only things missing were the balconies to throw beads from, but that didn’t stop beads from being handed out or the occasional flash to earn them. It was as close to New Orleans as they were going to get, but they didn’t need the parades to make it a party.

Where: The park

Despite the amount of work it took to lug a guitar to the park while on crutches, Sage had somehow managed. He'd strapped the guitar to his back, then slowly made his way there, needing to be out of the house more than anything else. He'd packed in his notebook, just in case he got to writing something new, but the real goal was socialization. Going into town was too much work, but if he didn't talk to someone soon he was going to go crazy. Locating the tree he'd fallen out of, he plopped himself down beneath it and started to play.

Warnings: Clementine is literally setting the park on fire - HELP!

The park was typically quiet, calm, and far less warm, but there was something happening. Something that had Clementine standing underneath one of the trees there, a lighter held above her head to light each individual leaf she could find on fire. She watched them burn, standing underneath them as the ash from the leaves fell on her like black snow.

Her eyes were glazed over, as if she was mesmerized by the flames on the tree. They grew and spread, catching neighboring leaves in the flame. When each leaf Clementine could reach was either burning or had burnt up, she dropped the lighter and lifted both arms above her head, swirling in a circle underneath the blazing tree. ”I wanna know have you ever seen the rain?”

Hey, you. Yeah, you. Whoever wrote that Connie letter.

Tad stopped for food, then set up at the monorail station, waiting on Mazie. He doubted she’d be as interested in what he found, but well, it was a big thing. Or at least for him it was. He saw it as a start, something new to try. He was pacing, wishing she’d hurry the hell up, but she’d get there when she got there.

She did get there when she wanted to. She hadn’t rushed because she was still a little pissed at Tad for the way he was acting in this place, regardless of the apology he’d given her. She’d made him wait a good fifteen minutes and then arrived, hands in the pockets of her hoodie with her backpack slung on her back and Gizmo trailing along behind her. “Ok Kennedy, spill.”
