When the group from below finally made it up to the amusement park, Cillian faded into the background, watching everyone for a bit before heading to the train. Maybe he could help out there, make it easier for people to get back down, if that's where they wanted to go. It was a far more sophisticated machine than he was used to working on, but he figured that if he tinkered with it long enough he would be sure to get it working. At least, he hoped so. Going back down the tracks the opposite way, by himself, really wasn't an option.

If you're stuck up top, a few of us have set up camp in the little restaurant next to the funhouse. We've got food, water, bathrooms, a first aid kit, and some souvenir blankets from the gift shop. Is everyone okay?

Dressed in a long, flowing white cotton maxi dress, Clementine had arrived at the spa earlier than the time she'd indicated to hand out tickets. She wanted to make sure she didn't miss anyone on their journey to get pampered and center themselves again. While she waited she decided to braid her hair, mostly for something to do with her hands but also to keep her braiding skills sharp. All the while she kept her eyes out for anyone who looked like they might also be looking for someone as they came up toward the spa.

I seem to have a few free spa tickets! Is there anyone here that needs a ticket and would like to join me for a day of revitalization at the spa?

If anyone is going and would like to join me for a yoga class, I would love the company.

Cillian was shaken by the time he left the park, mind spinning multiple directions as he tried to anticipate what might happen next. Some people may have been relieved to find out the bodies were actually robots, but that opened an entirely different can of worms. They had passed for human until burnt down, confirming what he'd already known, that Connies were real. It was the sort of realization that could inspire a witch hunt, if people got it through their heads that Connies were dangerous. So far, Cillian only knew of one Connie that had posed a threat, even if it had been an accident.

He hurried off to find Clementine, needing to see her even if she'd said she was okay. It felt good to be outside and thought there might be something to her wisdom, returning to nature. He brushed his fingers across the leaves of the plants as he wandered her farm, looking for her. It was quiet. Peaceful. A contrast to the thoughts bouncing around in his head.

I don't think this game is funny. Words hurt more than people realize.

To anyone who has had their home violated, I am sorry. It's terrible and I hate to see us all like this, but let's try to remember that we're stronger if we're together. That letting words like this separate us, isolate us, is a very bad idea.

By the time all the decorations were up, the park had been transformed into a piece of Bourbon Street, complete with crowds of people looking to party. Lights were strung between the trees with the occasional banner indicating a drink stand or a food cart, adding to the atmosphere. There was even a dance floor in one corner with music piped in from unseen speakers. The only things missing were the balconies to throw beads from, but that didn’t stop beads from being handed out or the occasional flash to earn them. It was as close to New Orleans as they were going to get, but they didn’t need the parades to make it a party.

It had been days since Cillian heard from Clementine and he was starting to get worried. He hadn’t expected her at the Christmas party, but once New Year’s and the Casino Night passed without a word he decided to go and check on her. He could message her privately, but when it came to discussion about her condition he didn’t want a word of that on the net, even privately. If someone out there could hack it, he didn’t want to risk them finding out she was a Connie.

“Clementine?” he called out, opening the door to her pod after knocking. He ducked inside, eyes searching for her as he lingered in the entryway. “Clem, are you home? It’s Cillian.”

Cillian wasn’t sure what he was supposed to do about Clementine’s current state, but he knew that staying in the park was the absolute worst place to be. There were too many people who might notice how odd she was acting and he didn’t think that medical assistance was what she really needed. Luckily, he was able to lead her back to his pod without any resistance, as picking her up and carrying her would have likely drawn even more attention. Once there, though, he wasn’t entirely sure how to proceed. “Clementine? How are feeling?” he asked, trying to gain her focus, eyes meeting hers and giving her hand a little squeeze.

Warnings: Clementine is literally setting the park on fire - HELP!

The park was typically quiet, calm, and far less warm, but there was something happening. Something that had Clementine standing underneath one of the trees there, a lighter held above her head to light each individual leaf she could find on fire. She watched them burn, standing underneath them as the ash from the leaves fell on her like black snow.

Her eyes were glazed over, as if she was mesmerized by the flames on the tree. They grew and spread, catching neighboring leaves in the flame. When each leaf Clementine could reach was either burning or had burnt up, she dropped the lighter and lifted both arms above her head, swirling in a circle underneath the blazing tree. ”I wanna know have you ever seen the rain?”

Kyle had always promised himself that, once he got away from New York, he was not only going to stop being afraid to do things, he was actively going to make himself get out there and do things that scared him. Top of the list was making a fool of himself in public. That was maybe something he was going to have to return to time and again.

Today, though, he was attacking that fear by a bit of determined exhibitionism. Well, in his head that's what it was. Really, he was being rather tame - nothing more than anything that groups of people did in Central Park every day during the warmer seasons. Today, Kyle had found a mat, changed into a pair of yoga pants and a loose t shirt, found himself a spot to the side of the park, where the sunbeams filtered down through the lake above and he was going through a routine that he used to do at his yoga class - the one time a week that Harry had been happy to let him out of the apartment unaccompanied.
