Before I came here, there were few that knew but I did not live at home alone. From a young age I was always fond of the family cat Athena, preferring its company above that of others at times. When Athena passed, a few years later I would have a cat of my own which I would call by the same name, as she was an exact double, though her eyes were slightly greener. She never seemed to leave my side and was there when I went to school, and would wait for me when I returned from work.

But circumstances changed, and most likely Athena either died of natural causes or was killed. I would like to think it was the former, though I do admit it is sad to think of her waiting for me to come home when I never truly do.

With the new year, I have decided to once again purchase a cat, this cat doesn't look as much like Athena so I decided on a different name, though I know Athena lives in this one somewhat, there are certain mannerisms that are all too similar.

Her name is Penelope and she is wonderful. She already is making a very good addition, and she's making herself at home.

Hello everyone. I have been here for quite some time but only just found it prudent to introduce myself. What with the proximity to Christmas and certain personal matters, I have not had a chance to correspond on the network thus far however I figure no time like the present, and I'd like to check in and see how things are going ahead of the holiday season in any case.

My name is Percival Graves. I have been in Preya for several months, perhaps even going as far as a year? I'm uncertain, my road here was... bumpy, to say the least. But this place is more a home to me than the one I left behind, and I'm in no rush to return there.

I have been appointed by the powers that be to oversee the magical security of this place and make sure that nobody is here that shouldn't be here and that would pose a threat. I am aware that this place has housed certain... entities that have meant us ill will in the past, and I do not want anything to happen to disturb the way we live or to endanger anyone here. This place is a place of safety, for people who may have had a difficult past to start afresh, or for people to start a new journey in their lives for other reasons.

That being said, I understand that there are some of you that disagree, and as this is a place of free will, you are of course allowed to express your opinions. I am merely overseeing the security of this place in the hopes that any such activities will not endanger anyone here.
