Saturday: Party at Cian Andersen's

The first and biggest summer party on Eldritch is tonight at Cian Andersen's house at 7 Oceanwalk Way. The weather for it is extremely warm, although the sky began to cloud over at around five o'clock. The winds will pick up at nine, and by a quarter to ten, everyone will be out of the pool due to the oncoming storm.

There will be a sound system wired to speakers both in the house and out by the pool, there will be a reasonable amount of alcohol, both kegs and cans, and there will be all sorts of snacks available. The party's activities include swimming, playing air hockey or video games in the den, dancing, eating and drinking, of course. Every room will be open and accessible except for Cian's bedroom, the master bedroom suite and bath downstairs and Christoffer Andersen's office, which is also downstairs. All of those rooms will be locked up tight.

At ten p.m. almost exactly, an electrical storm will strike and knock out the majority of the power on Eldritch-- including the Andersen home. The ferries will not be able to run, and anyone who is on Eldritch Island then will be there until the middle of the next day.

Wednesday: Sandpiper Marina Event

Fortunately, the rain ceases overnight and by the time late afternoon arrives, skies are clear and temperatures hover around sixty-five degrees. It's windy down by the water, but then it usually is!

The open-air party at Sandpiper Marina begins at six o'clock sharp, and the sun won't set until around eight p.m. The local band Jezebel will perform in the open space between the marina's pub and restaurant beginning at six-thirty, and there will be plenty of space for dancing. Not far from the musical action, there will be stands where vendors will offer burgers, hot dogs and ice cream for a fixed price of five dollars. Jezebel will play until eight, take a thirty minute break and then return from eight-thirty until ten. The party is all-ages, providing a relatively safe event for teenagers and adults alike; however, as usual no one under 21 is allowed to enter the pub.
