I have learned a great deal in my months here. Modern ways. Alien ways. Magic. These wingless dragons called dinosaurs. And this rather convoluted system of governing. I can see the appeal of representation and voting, but from the inside I have seen what a broken system it truly is. A way of the influential to squabble with each other over the mere illusion of power and no communication or regard of the people they're meant to be representing. They allow discourse in the name of fairness to block progress and constructive action. What is even done with it? How has it benefitted us as a whole, when it can offer no protections or real punishments. Those that have provided the greatest of service to us have done so without election, without thanks, without any sort of title at all.

And so I ask, is there really any need for all this at all, or is it just a distraction? What can be done to get rid of this redundant and clearly ineffective system? In my world, if a ruler was so poor at their job, they either got invaded by somebody more competent or overthrown by their own people. So tell me whose head must roll to end this, because presently this joke of a Constitution does not allow any reasonable way to end itself.

The “Block Party” was a great success, and I would personally like to thank Darcy Lewis for her work in organizing the affair, as well as all those who participated in supplying food or entertainment.

Such a wonderful display of community, patriotism and fellowship left me thinking. As a group, we except a great deal of survive from our Council and our Jury. These taxing positions are all too often thankless, and the time and energy is hardly every fairly compensated with gratitude. It is for this reason that I would like to propose a dinner party, for those on the Council and the Jury. It would be an evening to celebrate the freedom of democracy, and a way to give back to those who do so much for us all.

I would like to host it this weekend at the Ballroom. Any help would be appreciated.

Where is the house staff to prepare the meals?

Your science is far more advanced than anything I have encountered. It's quite impressive, but there is one aspect of this experiment that I am having difficulty understanding. Which of you has the greatest knowledge of these things? I would be most grateful for your time.

With amendment 3A.8 passing and having been added to the constitution now, I would like to file charges against Hotel (the scientist) for disregarding our rights to our powers and not having turned them back on.

My powers, like everyones, are gone.

I’m filtering the few of you I’ve spoken to before because I’ve been thinking and didn’t want to talk to myself.

It’s interesting that this conversation about powers as a... right on the supposed basis of identity should come after Novi Grad, where none of us were who we ... usually are. And it made me think beyond powers and what they mean to the people that have them.

What are we, if we lose the thing we identify as? Are we still assassins, queens and soldiers? Is that inherent even when the crowns are gone and the wars are over?

Who are we in this place? Who are any of us without the world that made us?

I move to bring Amendments 3A.8, 3A.9, and affiliated revisions to a Council VOTE.

I would also like to discuss, hopefully vote, on two proposed amendments, the first clarifying resistance:

6A.6) Actions taken against the Scientists, their assistants, or any Wittgenstein property shall not be counted as an offense except to the extent that they directly impact the rights, liberties, or bodily autonomy of other specimens for which they will still be held to account.

and one written withby Charles Xavier's input addressing Hotel's concerns.

3A.10) All specimens shall have equal and unfettered access to their rooms, equipment, commissary funds and leisure time to which scientists have no claim. It is unlawful to impose uncompensated labor or exercise on specimens or punish them or any others for a failure to consent.

Though I still believe there is an ethical obligation on the part of Hotel under Article 3B to do this work and any active attempts to sabotage the work or extract quid pro quos should be dealt with. I will also admit that I am perhaps overly passionate at times. Particularly under circumstances such as this.

Now that said. I wouldn't know where to begin if any further amendments seem worth discussing. But these feel like a priority.

So where exactly does one get these powers everyone keeps talking about? I'm afraid I don't know all that much about magic. It's a rather forbidden subject where I'm from. I must admit I am a bit jealous of everyone that gets to fly. I just wonder, how does it work without wings?
