As a point of simple curiosity, are you happier when this place turns powers off or when they're on?

Normally with New Year's Eve coming up, this would be a time for reflecting on the past year and celebrating the possibilities of the upcoming one but it’s difficult to look back on this experience feeling that one’s gleaned any beneficial knowledge. It’s even more difficult to envision anything positive coming from 2018.

I still made a list of resolutions like I do every year, but it was a trial not to defeat myself in the process. How do you make resolutions in a prison there’s no promise of being released from? I have a total of two lines on my page. Did anyone else have better luck?

Remiss as I am to incur the wrath of our ever-so-humble block leader, any student of history knows that the only way to combat authoritarian rule is not to bend to that rule for fear of punishment, but to continue to unflinchingly stand in opposition to that threat.

As such, I suggest that as a whole we refuse to attend this punishment tomorrow. And as a whole, we find somewhere else to be. We don't have to socialize, we don't even have to look at each other; the important part is that we stand together as a united front and show that we're not ones to be cowed. If he escalates - which, in my experience, authority often does - then so do we.

What do you say?

Has anyone seen Trinket? I think he went off to play with maybe a pokemon, or some other animal. Maybe he's giving someone a massage?

I will probably not be personally participating in much, but I'll tag along because all the other stuff is important and also you're all important. And shit, guys, training has been kinda brutal.

Right now, our block work out ends at 7:30 then classes start at 8:00. Classes last until 3:00 and detention lasts till 7:00. The training facility also closes at 7:00. Which means that there’s really no way for anyone in Hotel block to get survival training if they’re under 18.

Would you be willing to help with some training after detention? I feel like it’s really important for us to be able to protect ourselves, and not have to rely on everyone else to survive in the upcoming scenario.
