This is an interesting, albeit puzzling turn of events. I do not know what I expected to find after I met the sun. But I do not believe glitter and experiments were a considered possibility.

While I don't really care what the scientists say we did or didn't do to bring about our current situation, I want to say first that I take full responsibility for the fact that I did contribute to the discourse about our potential ordeal. As one of your representatives, I think it's important for me to step up and do that. The announcement still feels seriously fucking dubious to me, but that's another issue.

The issue now is that we've sat silently on these "Games" for too long. We're not together in this squad for no reason. We have skills and we have ideas that could be useful right about now.

So hypothetically, if there was going to be a protest or a rebellion, how would you suggest going about it? We all know how to defeat monsters. Some of us are monsters (and I say that with the greatest affection and consider myself among that number, I want you to know). Our actions and reactions have already had some effect, but we need to do more.

It's already been suggested that we interrupt the broadcasts, which is a good start, but it's just a start.

I haven't been spending nearly as much time in these training seminars as maybe I ought to, but I've handled myself in enough situations on enough planets that unless there's something new worth learning, I figure I'll either keep going or my luck will run out.

At this point, the only survival training that might be real useful is parenting classes.

What's the chance of getting some Cuban food during one of these training lunches?

Y'know, before a) the Hunger Games or b) the Purge begins and a statistically high number of us are sent off to kill each other? Either that or we're going full Donner Party themed. That's still a third option.

As I’m under the age of majority, it seems that I’m “strongly encouraged” to seek out a mentor.

The stated intention is to offer the various youths in the facility with the ability to learn vital life skills from wiser and more experienced persons. I imagine there’s an undertone of being taught the importance of moral fortitude by one of the many outstanding figures in the community, as well.

Since this person is going to play such an important role in rounding out my character development, I’ve taken great care in coming to my conclusion. There’s only one man whose expertise I can envision assisting in my future. Someone with world-renowned courage, vast entrepreneurial knowledge, and a truly limitless supply of tact and social graces.
