I think the key to solving this quickly and efficiently is by ensuring that we all have the information needed to do so. Every individual brings new insight into events such as these and can see scenarios differently, allowing for the puzzle of who the apparent murderer will be to be solved.

I would like for us to share what we each learn. I believe there is at least one member from each block included in this filter.

Let it be known: The Irish are, in fact, surprisingly good for something. Not beer, mind you. Anyone who thinks Guinness is actually good probably grew up in a barn drinking pig slurry.

They're good at churches. And I found a lovely one, so have fun at your fucking hotel. If you need me, I'll be at St. Patrick's Friary, which was built when this miserable island still hated Catholics as much as I hate all of you.

I'll admit, this place does have a certain charm to it, and a warzone always does feel a bit like home to me. As a matter of fact, everything about this is more comfortable than the last situation we were thrust into. I certainly have no complaints about the clothes this time around - they fit like an immaculately tailored glove. Better. Much better.

But I have this odd feeling that I'm about to have to put my very specific set of talents to good use. And I'm not talking about my dead aim marksmanship or my ability to make men cry with both hands tied behind my back.

People of the Wittgenstein,

Hopefully many of you may remember the post that Sharon Carter (the elder) made in the aftermath of the Circus riot about our civic responsibilities. In the two weeks since we have been back at the compound, a small group of us have been stationed in the library, working on drafting a document assuring and defining our rights as citizens (not merely specimens) of this Wittgenstein collective.

We affirm, in brief: a right to assembly and self governance, a right to freedom from violence, discrimination or harassment, a right to freedom of speech, a right to property, and a right to freedom from degrading conditions, and an obligation to assuring a minimum standard of care and safety for all who are brought here. We maintain the sanctity of life for all specimens as our highest primary objective.

We propose a representative democracy comprised of a federation of "Districts" comprised of at least five people. This allows everyone's primary points of contact to be largely those with whom they would interact in any case, however, it also creates both a Wittgenstein Council and Jury comprised of elected representatives from each District which can address concerns that face the entire group, see to impartial, empathetic handling of specimen-on-specimen crime.

Finally, while at present we have the capacity to negotiate only amongst ourselves, it is our hope that success in this endeavor may give us some collective bargaining power with our scientists.

In any case, we have drafted a preliminary Constitution based on a variety of national Constitutions as well as drawing heavily from Prisoners' Rights theory, but it is only a preliminary document. We would like to open this up to all specimens for comment, suggestion, and revision in the interest of fairness and to capitalize on the assembled collective political expertise here.

I think that most of us came together really well last night. Thank you to Sharon, especially, for closing down the show efficiently and safely to allow the guests to escape and the performers to go help. And thank you to Amos for getting most of the kids out of the sideshow so that, by the time I showed up, it was just a matter of trying to match up the stragglers with their parents.

I wish it hadn't happened at all, of course, but it's nice to see that, for the most part, people here just want to help each other.

I'll be in the midway, trying to repair some of the damage to the games, if anyone needs anything.

Does the fact that the indulgence thing mostly works mean God is real, or just that they've turned God on for this scenario?

Let me get this straight, first I was a lab monkey and now I'm a circus monkey. And a barely glorified Charley Chimp at that. I guess, at least I make the outfit look good.

Everybody realizes how completely fucking insane this is, though, right? I mean, I didn't just take the wrong drink from the wrong guy on Tycho and completely hallucinate the last two weeks, did I? Because I'm pretty sure that it wouldn't even be the first time.

Edit: So I heard there was a Pope here. Now, I don't really trust the Catholics, I got my reasons, but brother, I think you and me might need to have a chat.

Now that the Thomases have put their fingers in the holes in Christ's palms -- is there anyone else who wants to stop their nightmares? Skip a meal, bring it to me. Bring me your shoes. Items of value don't have to be about material worth, they only need to be an example of your sacrifice.

Not that anyone needs to be told, but - a good night's sleep really does make all the difference. That was more than worth a pair of shoes. If you're feeling the drag from those dreams, guys, here's my testimonial: talk to Lenny. I don't know how the hell he did it, but that guy's a miracle worker.

That's not ominous at all, but if it means getting away from this insufferable music, all aboard.

Now that our numbers are about to swell, I'd like to reiterate the general goals of this camp: that it remain peaceful, that everyone gets what they need, and that everyone pitches in.

To those ends, please let me know if you're incoming with any special needs, like injuries, children, or dietary restrictions.

I would also welcome volunteers for foraging, fishing, hunting, night watch (internal and external), bandage-changing, water boiling, and for Malcolm's entertainment committee.

I took down a wild boar just now, so we're having pork and grapes for dinner, with coffee afterward. How's that for a welcome?
