I was asked by a member of squad seven to suggest that there be a vote on whether or not these trials should ultimately take place, due to the mitigating circumstances. And I'd also like to suggest an amendment in the Constitution that such situations be evaluated on a case by case basis.

I've had quite a bit of time to consider everything in the two weeks that I've been in this room. In that time, I found myself unable to judge any of you for the choices that you made in the arena. I'm no stranger to making choices that seem right at the time but in the end turn your acquaintances - perhaps even your friends - into your enemies. My past is littered with these moments. It won't happen overnight but in time you'll be able to put those choices behind you. Some relationships will recover though the journey to that will not be easy. And some may never recover. The outcome is dependent upon what YOU do from this day forward.

For those looking to talk to or sit with someone who understands what it means to live with having taken a life, I'm here. My experience with this is unfortunately quite extensive. I am also here for those who are struggling with the reality of having died and been brought back to life. Though, keep in mind, that I have only experienced this once before.

Everyone is welcome to help themselves to the bottles of whiskey, rum and the decks of cards that I've just conjured. You'll find them on a table in the center of the main ward. There is more than enough for everyone to share, so please, try and be civilized about it. I'll make it all disappear faster than you can blink if I see otherwise.

I have raised a challenge to the constitutionality of the farce of a vote that was recently conducted. I do not wish there to be any confusion regarding the nature of this challenge. I am very much demanding that it be taken up by the Jury, as appears to be (arguably) the proper process under our founding document. You have expressed a willingness to act objectively. You are also better-lik I thought I would do you the courtesy of allowing you to raise the issue with your colleagues, rather than taking it to them myself. Please advise which you would prefer.

I am happy to elaborate on my reasoning, although I consider it to be all but self-evident.
